I always root for all the MLS teams in this. Except Montreal. Can you imagine how insufferable their fans would be if they won that first CCL for MLS?

Well, New England's first round opponents have withdrawn from the tournament because they couldn't obtain visas.

Montreal having a goal called back and two really bad offside calls by the refs. One was a back pass by Santos to their goalie.

And now the game has just slowed to a crawl. Montreal trying to conserve energy for the second half. Very boring to watch.

Yeah sure is a shame, they were doing really well up to that point. I wish they had a better angle so we could see from the goalie's angle. They showed a replay later in the match but the ball was basically in the net already, they didn't show the kick and the way the ball fell. He had no one in front of him, so one can only assume with how much the wind was blowing that the ball was moving all over the place.

Annnnnd..... tonight Cruz Azul is taking it seriously.

Hey! Choniere fires in a bullet into the lower corner, and it's 2-1 (3-1) on agg.

You can tell watching them though how the basic fundamentals are weak from so many of the Forge players. Heavy touches, heavy passes, slow decision making.

Pathetic.

Both New England's center backs were out and they went with Omar and a guy with 13 games experience.

Omar caught out on the second goal, never should've been scored.

I haven't watched the full highlights yet, only the shootout. I was often amazed how far forward Omar would push with TFC. I mean the guy needs to learn he was never the fastest, and has gotten even less mobile. Still hasn't learned to play it safe.

Jozy on the other hand gets a major vote of confidence, given the 5th & final spot in the shootout. Doesn't crack under pressure, absolutely hammers a high-and-to-the-side unstoppable PK in Mexico, but it's not enough as two other Revs players had missed before him.

León crowd staying classy as usual....Yeesh, can’t believe we are still dealing with this crap....

MLS semi and a Liga MX semi — looked like an MLS team was for sure going to win this thing only a few days ago - now it’s a 50/50 shot at best versus Pumas or Cruz Azul - two tough places to get results.

Seattle ties Pumas 2-2 in Mexico after going behind 2 goals! Very scrappy match with VAR playing a critical role in correctly calling a 90+6 minute PK! Now the final will be Seattle. Will an MLS side finally knock off a MX team?

An MLS team winning the CCL is the next step for the league. When it comes to inter-MLS games, I'm TFC till I die. If an MLS team is playing a Liga MX team in any competition, I'm gonna cheer that MLS team. A better reputation for the league = better players wanting to come and play.

Views will differ but this is my view too. I would have much rather it had been TFC (we were one sitter away!!!), but I'll take any MLS side over a Mexican side.

Ultimately the prestige of an MLS side in the Club World Cup will make MLS more attractive, which means even more great players coming over.

Could do a lot worse then Seattle to win it....

NYC, Montreal, Atlanta - all would be painful in the extreme

I tried to tune in and watch it on Fubo TV but the one soccer stream was only playing the pacific game. I know that One Soccer is supposed to have all of the Concacaf champions league games on there. When you searched online for where to watch, it even said the game would be on Fubo TV. So I guess it's a little frustrating for Fubo to say you have one soccer with their subscription but really you are only getting one of their streams not all of them.

Sounders are down 2 key players. This CCL run is taking their toll on Seattle like it had on TFC. They might be in trouble for the regular season. The intense games within the first few months of the regular season are so dangerous.

Always tough watching Seattle. Can't stand them for obvious reasons, but love King Stefan still. Still can't believe we let him go and kept Bendik. Unreal.

But if they win at least MLS breaks the modern-era duck.

Awesome pace to the game, anyway. Like watching real football after our last few games.

Imagine how many more games we'd have won in the last three years if we had either of these keepers.

I wonder if we even bothered to make a play for Dayne St. Clair in the offseason, when he was still considered the backup.

Seattle is winning Concacaf Champions League and we are losing to Cincy twice in 5 days — whether we like it or not, Seattle is the best MLS team of the modern era - we had the best one season in MLS history with a treble and losing in penalties in the CCL Final. One year was wonderful, but consistent greatness is a lot more impressive. Seattle’s consistency over the last decade is impressive, whether we like it or not.

was a good few years, 3 MLS cup final appearances, a CCL final appearance and supporter shield runner up (while playing 80% of the season away from home) in 5 years. MLS Cup, 3 voyageurs.

we're a good distance off now tho, will be a couple more windows til we can think about competing at that level again.

Congrats to Seattle, but they had a much easier run to the final than TFC did in 2018. I think if you were to play them against each other, TFC CCL 2018 would beat Seattle CCL 2022.

I wonder how many former TFC players from that team watched this and thought, "That could/should have been us."

congrats to seattle. So much for our desire to be the first , if this was so important the team would have brought on the right people to and provided adequate depth.

Before was old vets and now its young youth's lol.

This hurts as I really truly believe TFC would be the first.

Their management is much better than ours- Im not speaking to the money aspect but everything else.

As mentioned, felt like mickey mouse club with these guys always reacting instead of being pro-active.

Seba, altidore - the fact that scarves werent even sent out in a timely manner.

congrats seattle- at this point id be happy to make it in the playoffs let alone champions league (take away the canadian championship- how many times would TFC actually had made the CCL)
