I hear you but I also think this year's team under the Armas formation works well on a narrow pitch. When we have been on a wider pitch this year we still kept our shape fairly narrow and I think it hurt us. From what I recall they moved the Leon game to Disney because it was a narrower pitch that Armas preferred for his style of play...or maybe I was dreaming that :)

Moving to a two forward formation would leave an odd man out in the middle of the park. Poz, Oso and Bradley are all automatic starters, but Poz and Oso can play tucked on the right wing (which would be ideal for Laryea to overlap anyway). If the club actually backs Priso/Okello then Delgado (500k a year) is probably the odd man out. Though moving Delgado is probably the wrong decision when you have an aging Michael Bradley on 1.5m.

We are 3 to 4 deep at every position except for CB. If moving Delgado allows us to get a starting quality guy there then that would be amazing.

If true, totally valid in my opinion. The people they have calling the games aren’t as diverse as the viewership or the players on the field. It’s ridiculous this has persisted for so long.

Now that said, I fail to understand why they fired their best soccer person with someone who doesn’t really seem to take naturally to bring on TV. There are lots of former players out there who are diverse and capable of being on air? Why not hire them? I was thinking of the diversity issue as well, and I agree with it. But I have a better way of achieving that than JDG in for KJ and others: how about Adrian Serioux instead of Caldwell? I have the broadcast on mute again because of Caldwell. I've liked Serioux when I've heard him (further experience will help). I think Wileman isn't that bad despite some annoying habits ("Canadian international..."), Wileman has also done a great job calling some of the iconic moments in TFC history.

All things considered a Tie is a decent result for us, and a bad result for them — they were at home, had more rest, and had the lead, we had no DPs on the field and tied the game.....a point is good for us.

Frankly whatever we get over the next two games is a bonus - maybe we have a healthy Pozuelo (and others), by June 19 and the season begins in earnest then.

My only gripe after this game is: what is our plan offensively? We can't create anything on the front foot right now. We got lucky to have a play break down, though all the credit to Mullins and Shaff for making something happen. Still with Solteldo, Richie, Ayo, Jozy, Lawrence out starting and there was almost no point where we threatened.

Add in the fact that every game is an away game. This is not an excuse, but it is a factor. Staying mentally focused in these conditions is difficult, and mental health well being is a factor.

Considering all this, anytime TFC gets an away point this season I'm good with. Hopefully TFC can come back home to Toronto, and the team can fully concentrate on playing soccer.

Oh yeah, I think Armas is still finding about his team. Tried a few things again, didn't quite work, so made the right subs to get a point. But keep starting Bono... well, NYRB supporters say Armas makes quite a few bonehead decisions.
