I think CCL is more fun to watch when you're a neutral.

When you're watching your own team play, it's more of a frustration than joy. Because, eventually your team will get CONCACAF'd and your blood pressure go up

some no name kid GK who is basically an emergency GK had to save Atlanta's ass many times, but this Atlanta team has the similar swagger during Martino days. though it's just one game

I don't know, they looked kinda old to me

a) Guzan continues his one gift of a chance a game in one way shape or form streak
b) their midfield was porous - it was like they had no DM - you shouldn't have people go through you at the top of the penalty area even if down 1 man (well really 2 because Martinez was useless defensively)
c) Josef Martinez is..tubby


That's a good result for them, but they got issues

Bedoya is one of the best CONCACAF dark arts guys in all of MLS but man the rest of that team just don't get it

Philly into the semis, deservedly thumping an Atlanta that doesn't know who they are yet under Heinze.

Possibly the only MLS team in the semis as the other 3 all have hills to climb.

For all of our “failure” against Cruz Azul; what MLS team has beaten a Mexican side in this tournament? Just TFC! And we did it with about one half of a DP in our lineup (Altidore for 75 minutes in one game)....

So far no one has “overachieved“ yet in my opinion - if Portland loses, we will be the only one to do so with Philly being gifted a nice non-Mexican draw to the Semis...

I only watched the highlights but the two CA goals last night, from the run of play, were well defended but unstoppable.

Philly needs what we need to beat these teams, a bit of luck, to be healthy and at their best, and to catch them at least once on an off night.

Club America was also holding on to their dear life under Portland pressure for a lot of 2nd half in Azteca.

Any Mexican team can turn on turbo mode to crush an MLS team. But I really think Philly can take on this CA team.
