Thought it would be a good idea to separate the "2020 is over" thread from the news about this specific event

What we do know



likely in Orlando but where within that structure, not certain yet
ESPN will be host broadcaster
3 games at least that will count towards league results
4 groups, 2 west, 2 east
LAFC, Seattle, Atlanta & TFC to be seeded (technically Orlando is an East seed but really seeding is only there so the top 2 in the conference don't play each other)

I will be curious to see if there is some TSN centric schedule for the Canadian teams. With multiple fields the Canadian teams could play in prime time for national broadcasts. Depending on the NBA schedule there will be some give and take on the schedule makeup.

Will the results of the first 2 league games count towards the standings? Or will the be null and void and essentially like it never happened?

From my understanding At least the group stages games will be considered regular season games.
