All in due time...
We're gonna need a trophy room in a few years for our V's Cup, SuperLiga and MLS Supporters Shield.
Oh and can't forget the MLS Cup trophy!
They'll look nice beside Edu's Rookie of the Year trophy.:taz:

That is why we have the Voyageur's Cup.

no we have the Voyageurs Cup to qualify for Concacaf Champions League, just like the Americans have the US Open Cup.....it has nothing to do with SuperLiga!

To be honest i dont see the point on SuperLiga any more. The same 4 USA teams and same 4 Mexican clubs who just played in SuperLiga are gonna be playing again in Qualifying for Champions League which starts in less then a month.

Look it up. Top 4 American teams compete against the top 4 Mexican teams for the SuperLiga Cup.

But then, why am I bothering trying to explain something when Google will tell you what you already don't know.

Here just for you taken from MLS.com.

Don't tell Vancouver or Montreal, they're about to drop 40mil on a team and not be allowed to fully participate in its tournaments. I think American team refers to top four teams from the MLS.

Euroborg is the stadium (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadium) of football (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Football_%28soccer%29) club FC Groningen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FC_Groningen), with a capacity of 19,814 seats.

You mean we can build stadiums that don't use Pizza Hut Park as the template?????

I can't believe how this recent little burst of SSS built in the US and here in T.O. was f'd up so brutally.

There are sooooo many 20000 seaters in Europe that could have been copied straight up....non-expensive, intimate...and altogether better for the fans....

But what do they do....build the Home Depot Center and have all other stadiums follow its style.

Yes -- this is exactly what needs to happen IMO. The same teams should not be playing in both tournaments. Then you could even expand Superliga to 6 or 8 teams from each league and make it bigger.

The other thing that also def. needs to happen is to have home and away games, so that there are actually games held in Mexico. That would make the tournament more meaningful.

Even though the talent levels between leagues is getting fairly close....the support definitely is not.

Mexican home grounds would be very very tough for MLS sides to play in.

If there were home and away legs in Superliga like there are going to be in the Champions League....MLS teams would be crushed by the noise.

Nevertheless...it still should happen.

New England is very lucky to still be in this game. Id still like to see them win it though. I want to see a home team celebrate.

And just wondering, does anyone know if stadium announcements during this tournament have been done in English and Spanish? The Canada Cup games all had bilingual announcements, which I thought added a nice international (or in our case intra national :p) flavour. Seeing as Superliga is officially a Mexican/American tournament wouldnt it make sense for them to do bilingual announcements?

Just one of the things I wonder about.:p

That absolutely sucks, but that just shows the problem of playing outside of the urban centre. For any city with a sizable (and somewhat lively) core putting the stadium in a decent location would make them a success. It's a shame the Revs haven't got a proper stadium, when you're playing in this huge, gaping NFL stadium, it looks pretty stupid.

I have to hand it to the Revs supporters group though, who noticed the guys decked out in full 1700s attire behind the goal? That was pretty cool. I really feel sorry for the small number of hardcore guys who go to matches every week, they must look at the kind of support Toronto FC gets and feel like they're wasting they're time. They've been doing their thing for thirteen years, and haven't made any progress at all. I know this sounds like treason, but as someone who wants to see this league become more competitive, their ownership group has to get off its collective arse and try to find a way to make that team a success off the pitch as well as on it. Getting a proper ground would be a start.

I talked to some family from the Boston area about this last winter and they told me that there is no room to put a stadium downtown. Now I haven't been downtown Boston for long time so I would just have to take their word on it. One could also argue it is not the location as the Pats play in the same stadium and fill it, so it could be that people don't care enough about MLS soccer to go watch it, they still like their European soccer and haven't accepted MLS for what it is.
