Heads up , go train service going east bound every hour, takes you past ex to union then wait for west bound train to ex. After game if you want to go west bound take the train east bound back to union transfer back to west bound train and maybe you might get home arnd midnight. As per conversation with customer service at go

The ongoing gotransit joke

Didn't find out until it was too late. Had to drive down. Missed first half [the good one >:(]

Had a separate west bound train back to Union post game. Cattle car on the way in with the concert over at the Bud Stage at same time as the game.

Davis cup also impacted the crowding on Ex grounds... I missed the first 2 goals because I couldn’t park.

FYI. Two of the next 3 home weekend games are impacted as well. Right now it looks like the Whitecaps game on the 6th is good. Game tomorrow night is not impacted as work is only on the weekends.
I highlighted the game dates below, but if you're going to a Marlies game or just trying to get to the Ex grounds you'll be interested in the weekends.

AS per our seat neighbours, this made a 40 min trip from Clarkson into a 2 hour trip as they ended up missing the train at Union to get back to Ex, and had to wait another 1/2 hour. Also, the trip around the Ex and Mimico stations takes a while as the train is using old tracks and it goes slower. Leave yourselves some time.
Exhibition GO Fall Weekend Service Update

For nine weekends this fall, there will be service adjustments while we restore six century-old bridges between Mimico GO and Exhibition GO stations. Regular service will run hourly from Aldershot to Union Station and will not stop at Mimico and Exhibition. Trains will detour between Union and Long Branch.

The scheduled weekends are:
• September 8-9, 15-16, 22-23, 29-30
• October 13-14, 20-21, 27-28
• November 24-25
• December 1-2

If you are travelling from east of Exhibition – stay on our Lakeshore East train as it will travel to Exhibition and be out of service.

If you are travelling from west of Exhibition – stay on our Lakeshore West train and get off at Union Station. Switch trains and travel back to Exhibition.

If you are leaving Exhibition and travelling east – there will be a train from Exhibition that will continue on the Lakeshore East line.

If you are leaving Exhibition and travelling west – take the eastbound train from Exhibition to Union Station and transfer to a Lakeshore West train that will detour and stop at Long Branch and then all regular stops west to Aldershot.

If you are travelling to or from Mimico GO you will have to take the TTC as trains will not stop at Mimico.

Trains may be delayed up to 15 minutes because of the detour.

I found the easiest thing this past weekend was get to Union (either GO or TTC, whichever you are closest too), then switch over to the Harbourfront street car to Exhibition loop (added no more than 20 minutes as their frequency along Queen's Quay is large and with dedicated streetcar tracks the train fly over).
