Saturday

Houston @ Columbus 7:30pm - Houston off extra time & penalties to get into the US Open Cup. Going to get run over by a Columbus who have been off for 2 week.
3-0 Columbus win

Philly @ NER 7:30pm - Philly didn't go to extra time but did win on Wednesday to go to the Cup final. But, NER is starting to tire & wilt due to overwork by their hard assed coach.
1-1 draw

NYRB @ Chicago 8:30pm - NYRB is unsettled & the new coach is making mistakes. Good thing for them Chicago has almost given up on the season - waiver releases & deciding to play hardnosed with their only 2 supporter groups indicates they are a franchise in need of some direction.
2-0 NYRB win

San Jose @ Colorado 9pm - The only reason to care about this game is to see who we play a week tonight. Two worst teams in the league.
1-1 draw

Montreal @ RSL 10pm - This is the sort of game where Montreal teams of old would win & start a run. RSL doesn't play pretty but they do like to control the midfield & will get countered repeatedly.
2-1 Montreal win

SKC @ LAFC 10:30pm - LAFC lost on pens to Houston & are starting to look shaky - lack of DM's will do that in this league. SKC can't score but they can defend.
1-1 draw

Minnesota @ LAGalaxy 10:30pm - Defence? We don't need no stinking defence!!
3-2 LAG win

Vancouver @ Portland 11pm - Robinson has to play some starters in this game - they need points. Portland is a juggernaut. Until that streak of no losses (15 games) ends, nobody should expect anything other then a result from the home team.
3-0 Portland win

Sunday

Orlando @ DCU 8pm - Orlando's defence can be torn to shreds by quick & good ball movement - guess what DCU does best right now? Orlando's offence is streaky & DCU can shut it down at home.
2-0 DCU win

Dallas @ Seattle 10pm - Seattle is unbeaten in 7. Dallas is ticked at last week's loss at home to SJE but they are a team with a fragile sense of self. Seattle will not be denied in this game.
2-1 Seattle win

I do hope you are wrong about the Montreal game, a draw between the Revs and Union would be ideal. I have a suspicion that DC will be in the race for 6th by seasons end.

Philly wins and jumps to 5th place, MTL barely clings to 6th-we will catch them but when we do they won't be in a playoff spot. Good news is if we win today we are only 4 points behind Philly and 3 back of the Revs.

Portland Vancover was entertaining to watch, Mls is continuing to get easier on the eyes

Vancouver gets a pick me up before we face them Wed. Kamara keeps on Kamaraing

Plata with another goal from an earned penalty kick.

And it took a month but Wazza just out did Ibra.

I'm not the biggest Wayne Rooney fan but what he did on the DC United winner against Orlando City was something special.

Rooney just made one of the greatest plays in mls history..dc gets a corner in the final moments at 2-2, they go for it and send Ousted up, goes the other way and orlando player is running with no one in goal, rooney gets back makes a crunching clean tackle gets the ball gets up carries it 15 yards and sends a beautiful long ball to the 5'3 acosta who heads it in and dc wins it..woww

Why didn’t Will Johnson shoot at the empty net, or pass that ball? That is an all time bonehead play, actually much worse than Doneil's play, as Johnson had plenty of time to think.

brilliant from Rooney. check out Rooney's teammate at the edge of the D.he flicks his foot out and trips the Orlando player racing out to support johnson.

That's Acosta - the eventual goal scorer.

Joe Bendik in net who should have been sent off earlier for a karate chop at Acosta as he scored a goal.
