So much pressure.... ;)

Feel free to chime in with your own thoughts people - I'm just setting the table with a few flowers & offering you the wine list.

Friday

NYC @ Houston 8:55 pm Only 28 degrees at kickoff - positively chilly compared to what it could be. NYC's defence can be had down the wing & that's exactly where Houston like to go. Only question is whether Houston's defence can hold out NYC's ball control movement.
2-2
Why watch the highlights afterwards? NYC is our toughest opponent in this league

San Jose @ LAG 11pm No Zlatan, no party. Look for Ola Kamara to have a good night. SJE is just not good enough & LAG is somehow hanging around the 6th spot.
3-1 LAG
Why watch the highlights later? Wondo goal gets him closer to the all time lead but Kamara, once freed from his less then decent DP partners, is the real deal as a true #9.

Saturday

RSL @ Seattle 5pm RSL away from home has not been good. But, they have more offensive horses then the Sounders who also have big issues in defence. This looks to me like an upset, if for no other reason then Petke is a much better manager
2-0 RSL
Why watch this match? When on their game, RSL's offence is pretty good to watch.

NER @ Vancouver 5:30pm NER has a mid week game at home to Atlanta - this is a scheduled loss. Vancouver will make the most of it and its next game in Colorado to put together a little winning streak that will be heralded as 5 games unbeaten.
4-1 Vancouver
Why watch this game? Getting ahead of NER is our goal.

Philly @ NYRB 7pm The Union are on a 2 game winning streak - too bad they now meet the current Beasts of the East. The Red Bulls have been on a tear - Kaku is fitting in nicely now & BWP is MVP like in his work. Not even Robles going down with a knee injury stopped them against Atlanta. This and their next two games are against east opponents - RB will be climbing the ladder in June & should be top of the East when we meet them on July 1st.
3-0 NYRB
Why watch this game? Kaku is the next closest thing in this league to Vasquez.

Chicago @ Orlando 7:30pm Chicago has a ton of injuries. So does Orlando. Heat won't be an issue as it will actually be cooler there then it is here tonight. Like all games in Orlando, this game will be one of incidents - Florida man comes to mind.
2-2 draw
Why watch this game? Its ALWAYS worth at least keeping an eye on how an Orlando home game is going.

Montreal @ Minnesotta 8pm - The Loons are the better team. That's not just TFC talk - Minnesotta is a better playing team right now. But as this is MLS, we all know a week of adversity usually counts for one away goal.
3-2 Montreal win
Why see the highlights of this game? Allan Kelly is going to use VAR and get at least 2 things wrong.

Portland @ Colorado 9pm - Stinker of the Week Portland once they got home has righted the ship with a 5 game winning streak. Colorado is Ryan Nelsen Redux. Not going to be pretty.
2-1 Portland
Why see the highlights of this game afterwards? Out of a sense of duty only.

DCU @ LAFC 10:00pm - "Yeah...about that Wayne, that wasn't us in Black out there actually." Thankfully for DC, Rooney isn't sticking around long enough to see this one. LAFC is better everywhere.
4-1 LA
Why watch this game? Carlos Vela hat trick (of assists)

Sunday

2nd Best Game of the Week

Columbus @ SKC 6pm - Best team in the West versus one of the top in the East. Columbus likes to hold onto the ball. SKC has not been the pressing team of late. That's good because this game is going to be around 34 degrees. Slow tempo.
1-1 draw
Why watch this game? We are at Columbus next week

Gordon for Chicago, again. Damn.

Also, Jako with a red for LA. Welcome back to MLS Jako!

Whitecaps helped out, or at least lessened the damage for tfc by coming back from 2 goals down to draw New England.

Looks like we don't have to deal with Higuian next week.

FYR started doing them years ago. He correctly pointed out that educating ourselves about MLS helps us understand what TFC is doing.

I was in favour of VAR - it worked last year.

This year, the calls have been terrible

How can the VAR say that wasn't a red & its not worth reviewing.

VAR has its positives, sadly they are still being reviewed by the same MLS refs we all have issue with. Implementation has been horrific.

Got to see if something happens post game.

This is a big positive boost for us.

Martinez will be likely out too after disciplinary committee takes a look. What a shit ref MLS has an unfortunate common trend. He looks at video replay and gives no red card for a 100% violent intent slap to the face. Makes your mind boggle knowing that's not a red but Seba's was.

Whoah there, Og!

I'm just making the most of what you've taken upon yourself. Thanks big time!

It's this other guy quoted that dragged me kicking and screaming into the rest of the League :D
