A) Argos watch: dry Sunday, high +4. Possibility of a windy game, meaning more ground work instead of aerial.

B) Healing time: mostly sunny for the next bunch of days, highs in the 4 to 9C range, lows around freezing. Some rain on Saturday.

C) Game day: Well, who knows, right? But at this point they're suggesting high +4 and low +1, and probably partly clear. Tuesday will possibly have precipitation and same temp range.

Weather has turned even a bit more favourable for pitch maintenance. No freezing overnight, and natural sunshine for many of the days. Game day looks to be the nicest day next week.

Wind from the west.

^^ better than it was last year I suppose. I'm not sure I can do -15 with a wind chill off the lake again. I think I lost feeling in most of my body for a couple of days.

Last year MLS Cup I was packed up nicely, but nothing helped with my hands and feet. And gradually that cold transferred into my core, despite standing & trying to keep moving throughout the game. I'm thinking of getting some of those "Grabber" hand & foot warmers from Canadian Tire for this year. Has anybody tried them, do they work well? I also hope they don't get excessively warm. Overheating & sweating in your boots & gloves isn't great either.

I don't think TFC deals with the cold that well, not good for Giovinco, I hope the forecast gets a bit warmer.

TFC needs to close off the stadium too cold in our winters here to be playing outdoors. I know its a long shot but hopefully one day *fingers crossed*

Used the hand and foot warmers last year for the Finals and even a bit on Wednesday (just the hands) --- I find the hand ones worked better than the foot ones as they need to be "activated" by moving the warmer/pack around, and when you are sitting down your feet aren't moving the "warmer/packet" enough to get maximum "warming" out of it, the best thing I found for feet was really thick thermal socks on top of a regular pair of socks (I bought a pair at the Dollar store in Liberty Village for like $7) -- the only issue is you need boots big enough to get your foot into them with such thick socks on....mine are about a 1/2 size larger than my normal shoe size so it fits nicely. The extra 1/2 size isn't' that noticeable when I'm not wearing the thermal socks either. I would also recommend, gloves, then a warmer, then mittens over top of that combo - worked well for me.....

This is now going to turn into a "share your tricks to stay warm at an MLS Cup" thread (non-alcoholic version)......ha ha ha.....
