TFC - the most hated team in the MLS?

IMHO across those who are following faithfully the MLS, TFC is now the most hated team.

There may be numerous reasons for this, the most fresh one being of course that Bradley and Altidore are hated a lot now by the idiot supporter (supporters??? - like the fates of this team depended ONLY on these 2 players!) mass of the USMNT, because the epic failure of this team to qualify for next year's World Cup.

An older reason may be that they don't like Giovinco (the refrain goes that he's a flopper, a "primadonna"), but I suspect the real reason is that they enwy TFC because of Seba.
Another reason is that TFC is a Canadian team, and the mass of US people who are by far the most numerous who follow the MLS don't want to see any team from Canada to ever win the Cup (= Murican National Pride).

And the simplest reason is that they hate our team because of how good we were this year, and because MLSE has a lot of $$$ to buy good players, and everybody knows this.

As far as I'm corcerned, of course I do not care about this hate, and I suppose none of you care.
So the haters can fuck themselves, and their pets... If they do not have pets there's also parents, grandparents... :hump:

But I think it's interesting to know TFC fan's opinion about the grade of hate against TFC...

I've been a fan of the Pittsburgh Penguins since I was nine years old, back in late 1974. In those early years BM (Before Mario), I dreamed every single fucking day my team would be good enough just to compete for the Stanley Cup.

Five Cups later, they're one of the most hated teams in the National Hockey League. :devil:

Red Bulls are hated for pretty much the reason TFC and TFC's fans dislike them.

LA is hated because things appear to have been fixed in their favour for a long time.

TFC is hated for being Canadian and beating American teams in their own league.

I think most of hate comes from USMNT failing to qualify for world cup. It's easier for US fans to hate on Jozy and Bradley because they play for non-American MLS club than USMNT players on their own clubs.

Going by the tone of comments on the MLS website, people were talking about how exciting TFC was to watch and mainly positive. There were comments about how much money we spent and that we were buying our way to the top which was just jealousy from a few. Then the USMNT had their meltdown. Now many people want to see Bradley and Altidore and TFC crash and burn. The NY game and Jozy’s embellishment stokes the fire even more. We are definitely most hated right now.

Unless you're from GTA or Portland (if Seattle goes to the MLS Cup again), you're probably going to hate us. No one in Montreal will root for us, Vancouver has to choose between a dagger or hemlock if Seattle, and you bet we're hated by both NY teams.

Its really Toronto vs Everybody.

I don’t think we are disliked at all. If anything, we are mostly ignored. We got very little attention in July/August, when we were truly a great story.

Our key guys all lost their heads a bit and did not have their finest moments last Sunday. That's all.

Galaxy is definitely number 1 on this list, we are just at the recent spots, and with the recent USMNT stuff, top 3. Still nowhere near the Galaxy though, I feel as those are so fixated on us on the MLS website is due to some loud voices of some people who are TFC fans.

Simply put, LA 1st, Seattle 2nd, a distant 3rd is TFC because hardly anyone cares, 4th Everyone else because when does anyone care about Columbus or Kansas City (those city's should be happy to be 4th on any list).

I think fans of the Impact would put us top of their hated list. Fans of Columbus, probably Vancouver, possibly Seattle and Atlanta and now NYRB would put us somewhere in their top three most disliked as might NYCFC but can't really think why anyone else would have such a strong, permanent distaste for us.
