Saturday
Houston @ NYCFC (in Hartford) 3:00pm - Houston has been tumbling but this game sets up well for them. NYC not really at home - they still don't have a good DMC back (Ring is more a box to box). Silva is back but he's still getting into form. Houston can go back to sitting in and playing the counter.
What we want - A Houston win
What will happen - a 1-1 draw
San Jose @ DCU 7:00pm - DCU playing out the string with a couple of ugly losses but SJE climbed back into the playoff race last week. This will be the penultimate DCU game at RFK stadium.
What we want - an SJE win to make other teams in the West have to think a bit
What will happen - SJE win 2-1
Chicago @ Philly 7pm - The Union are enjoying a string of draws, which is pretty successful for them of late. Chicago seems to have righted the ship. The Fire's speed on the wings is going to cause way too much trouble for a bunch of weak FB's.
What we want - a Philly win which would in theory also ensure we have a first round bye
What will happen - big Fire 4-1 win which will keep pressure on NYC
NYRB @ Columbus 7:30pm - GAME OF THE WEEK Columbus has been steady and focused for a couple of months now, doing what they need to do to keep in contention. NYRB lost midweek and is out of sorts.
What we want - a Columbus win to give Montreal less chance of needing a win when we play them next and to keep NYRB who we play in a week from getting on a roll
What will happen - a CBus 2-1 win
FCD @ Minnesota 8pm - The Loons manage to suprise teams and then fall flat for a couple of games. Dallas is desperate for points but are in freefall.
What we want - an FCD win to put some pressure on Western teams
What will happen - a Minnesota win which will have them climb to within 6 points of Dallas 3-2
Seattle @ RSL 9:30pm - This is going to be a dogfight. RSL needs this one badly to keep pace in the West while Seattle has been stuck with 4 draws in a row.
What we want - a draw to keep everybody in the West a little more frazzled
What will happen - an RSL win as the home team's attack is rounding into form 2-1
Colorado @ Vancouver 10pm - Vancouver's attack meets Colorado's defence. The home team is just too strong in this one though.
What we want - a Rapids win so Vancouver has to sweat
What will happen - 3-1 win for the home team
Sunday
LAG @ SKC 2pm - LAG is a dumpster fire. SKC got the CCL spot they wanted with the US Open cup win and has way too much power everywhere.
What we want - a surprise LAG win
What will happen - SKC wins 4-0
Monteal @ Atlanta 5pm - Sure Montreal beat us by pressuring our back 3 but they shipped 3 goals as well. Does anybody seriously think Atlanta can't take apart that defence?
What we want - for the earth to open up and swallow up both teams - baring that, a bunch of tired people get yellow and reds all over and it ends in a draw
What will happen - 6-0 for Atlanta - it won't be pretty
Orlando @ Portland 8pm - two coaches going in different directins. Portland has 3 of their last 4 games at home. Kaka will be back which means Orlando will play poorly.
What we want - a draw to keep Portland from momentum
What will happen - Portland's offence is too good for that Orlando defence
