And to think that just 5 short years ago TFC was the worst team in the world...

For sure. You got to see from where TFC has come to fully appreciate what it is now.

Retro news from 2012. Complete with a poll showing player ratings (Freddy Hall, 94% disapproval rating). Most of those players would not even crack TFC II today

"And with the Black and Red still in the hunt for one of the Eastern Conference's four remaining playoff spots, they won't be looking to offer a battered TFC any free passes following what can only be described as a season to forget -- one that further turned a formerly rabid fanbase into stoic zombies.

"It has been the worst season imaginable to be honest," Richard Eckersley said after TFC's latest collapse, a 4-1 drubbing at the hands of the New York Red Bulls last weekend."

BMO Cat had a higher approval rating than Freddy Hall

That last "MLS Notes" makes a really interesting point, comparing the formation Bruce Arena used against Costa Rica that got torched by Urena to Vanney's 3-5-2 that contained and corralled Urena all night. He put out a 3-5-2 consisting of mostly TFC players with Pusilic, Bedoya, Yedlin, and Howard. He seems to think Vanney is a "masterful coach" and Bez is "a gem unearther". :D

Those two, heck, the whole team, deserves the accolades that should start being thrown at them with regularity if they can keep this run of form up.

Holy cow, this was the year when we had in the team the legendary "best finisher in the modern era (or time?)" as shorty-pants called him.
Poor Wiedeman... :)
