Let's hope this league works out. I hate to think this is all being played out for the wrong reasons.

The last thing this new CPL would want to do is act and think like it's going to be a competitor to MLS. A nation-wide domestic league in Canada without teams in the three largest cities is sustainable, but there's not a big margin for financial error here. All said, though, I'm glad to see more potential competition in the Canadian Championship.
