All TFC players (in guaranteed compensation) below. Bolded are new players.

Oyvind Alseth - $53,004
Jozy Altidore - $4,875,000
Brandon Aubrey - $93,750
Steven Beitashour - $264,000
Alex Bono - $90,200
Michael Bradley - $6,500,000
Sergio Camargo - $65,004
Jay Chapman - $108,500
Benoit Cheyrou - $65,004
Armando Cooper - $202,333
Marco Delgado - $210,000
Raheem Edwards - $53,004
Tsubasa Endoh - $54,075
Sebastian Giovinco - $7,115,555
Nick Hagglund - $109,633
Jordan Hamilton - $81,957
Jason Hernandez - $65,004
Clint Irwin - $211,316
Chris Mavinga - $300,691
Drew Moor - $261,750
Ashtone Morgan - $101,508
Justin Morrow - $226,666
Jonathan Osorio - $200,237
Mark Pais - $65,004
Tosaint Ricketts - $193,166
Victor Vazquez - $700,000
Eriq Zavaleta - $133,450

Daniel Lovitz is also listed as a TFC player at $78,750 but this must be a mistake, we declined his option and Montreal signed him when he was essentially a free agent, so no reason for us to be on the hook for any part of his salary.

There are many small increases ($5k-$10k) compared to last year (likely bonuses kicking in after our playoff performance). These are the major changes for existing players vs. last year:

Cheyrou: $259,333---> $159,333 ---> $65,004 (his salary dropped on the 2nd salary release last season)
Delgado: $102,500 ---> $210,000
Hagglund: $63,000 ---> $109,633
Irwin: $107,625 ---> $211,316
Morgan: $132,000 ---> $101,508
Osorio: $174,750 ---> $200,237
Ricketts: $81,333 ---> $193,166

My thoughts: I don't think there's much to complain about here. Most guys are on fair deals. Hagglund and Zavaleta are very good value and Morrow and Moor are good value.

Mavinga is closest to being overpaid, though I think it's way too early to call it on him. He needs to get healthy and integrated into the team. Even in the worst case scenario that he doesn't come good, 300k isn't great but it won't destroy the team. At least we're not handing out O'Dea money anymore. Ricketts might be a slight overpay, but then again we've seen he's a real weapon in the right scenario (I think he's better suited to the playoffs where teams have no choice but to open up and attack at times, leaving him a lot of space to run into).

Also I called it on Cooper not getting a big raise. These numbers are salaries, not budget charges, they don't take TAM/GAM etc. into account so his salary number last season was accurate. He got the same 10k increase as many other players.

This is the last year of Morrow's contract. He is eligible for free agency next season.

i think 200k for ricketts is too much for a 10 min a game player.

ok ricketts should get a raise .where did you get those bradley numbers?
only 490 k of MBs salary counts against the cap.

I know it's early, but everything about Mavinga says Ahmed Kantari to me so far.

Drew Moor might be the best value for money player in TFC history,

What's with the Cheyrou numbers? A promise about his future must have been made to him. No way he is playing for $65000 and that's all.

Osorio at 200k and trending upwards dollar wise is something to keep an eye on. Passport aside, IMO, we could get more for that 200k. In a world where caps didn't exist I'd admittedly be less inclined to pick on this particular deal.

Seems likely that he joins the academy staff after retiring.

Will Johnson making $450K.

I was afraid that he and Cooper were making the same dough, but I understand what Bez did completely now.

just about what I expected.
some are a bit higher than I'd think and some a bit lower so it all levels out.
the only one that really surprises me is Cheyrou......that's really low, but like some have already mentioned, it looks like its coming with a retirement gig so it makes sense....

$200K is the price for decent backups in this league.

I smell a buyout in the offseason

based on his pedigree I wasn't surprised to see that number.

Piatti is only on $450,000? That has to be the biggest steal in the league. We could actually afford him. Imagine.

There's some shenanigans going on with his salary reporting, Saputo has already said he earns a lot more than $450k.

Paid in cheese maybe? A few wheels of real Parmesan are quite expensive.

My first thought is how open are the books for Bologna.

Well...he is already listed as a DP, so not sure what the problem is.

When you look at the salaries listed, you realize what a total bargain Drew Moor is, not much more money as Ricketts and Osorio. I think Morrow is a bargain at 226k as well

He said he took a paycut to be here. Much bigger paycut than what I thought he would take. Good on him. Great guy to have on the team.

Coaching the Academy for sure. Wouldn't be surprised if goes straight to managing TFC2.

I wrote in the Atlanta GMT that hopefully Mavinga isn't signed to the usual Euro defender special (O'dea, Perquis, Kantari, Eckersley, Caldwell(though that one was Ok until was injured)). Looks like he is not the worst but still a starters cap hit. He is getting Kendall Waston money and being outplayed by Americans earning 1/3rd. Please no more Euro defenders. It works out never, central america is where value is found!!!! How often has that been posted?

Y'all gotta chill. Mavinga had 1 start albeit a bad one against a good team. Give him a chance. Let him try and get a rhythm at least before we write him off.

Given my expertise in coaching youth soccer, I would say that he looks like a player that just doesn't have "it".

Must be a shitty coach if you can base that just on one game. I'd rather give him a chance before I make a full fledged opinion on him.
Many times players start slow at new clubs then become very settled and very good.
Other times they may play bad and not gel with one club but then the complete opposite happens at another club.

Marky delgado is on the bench way too much for 210k

we have 3 guy of equal value, each with his own shortingcomings. All 3 playing for the same spot. Plus we have chapman, cheyrou, edwards and morgan in a pinch (and for some reason still have endoh)

one has to go. $400k for a better player and $200 for your utility player. Take us to the next level

I would be interested in seeing how those graphic stack up with an option to show just how much of each player's salary goes against the team's cap.

Per Larson...this, if true, explains the salary jump for Delgado.

The Reds worked to re-sign Marky Delgado to a new deal late last year amid rumblings he had suitors in Mexico.

Tbf, he has the profile of players Liga MX have targeted from MLS before.
