There's some debate whether the latest Executive Order down south, banning entry by all citizens of 7 countries for at least 90 days, also applies to dual nationals. The details are specified so poorly that it's unsure so far. If that's the case, Stephen Beitashour wouldn't be able to play any games in the US. (Beyond the 90 days, they're saying the bans will continue until the other country provides specific information about their citizens, which Iran for example probably won't do, so this could be an indefinite situation.)

Is anyone aware of other MLS players that are citizens of the 7 countries that might also be affected? (Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.) Who knows, there might be special exceptions for athletes (single or dual nationality), but it's totally nuts that it's even a possibility.

Going by this, dual citizens are also banned, unless 1 of your citizenships is USA

"The dual-citizenship ban doesn’t apply to U.S. citizens who are also citizens of the seven nations singled out by Trump."

OK thanks guys. Things have been all over the map but slightly clearer now. Many of the airlines were really in the dark and were handling things inconsistently. I wonder if there are any other citizens of the affected countries, or dual citizens w/o US citizenship, who would be affected? (Justin Meram is Iraqi - US American so also not affected.)

A federal judge has put at least part of the Executive Order on hold. We shall see about the rest.
