they have reportedly been out the last two years, yet come back as a last resort. I guessing it will be the same this year again. I assume they pay the MLS minimum (or 0 as some on the forum has speculated) if this is the case.

that means unforunately the jersey will be out a latest date MLS will allow, probably right before first game.


IIRC vancouver is up and so is montreal. whitecaps forum say we may see a change in Vancouver with potential of Bell/TSN dropping MLS

im aware of that, they don't wear them (BMO) likely because it wasn't stated in the initial deal. So what we could've seen was BMO on the first teams, and Kia on TFC II....that's why I'm curious to see what the asking price is and the package.

Had Low standards??? There's a fair number of despicable people and shady businesses involved at the ownership and sponsorship levels in this league. To say the league has any standards at all for people who give them money remains highly dubious.

Wow, first year memories! I agree but the ship has sailed on those. The days of unsponsored stadia in NA is long gone. Shame. though. It will be a relief when the sponsor changes. It's been a long 10 years and was pretty funny when we had the Bank of Montreal sponsor and Montreal didn't.

its laughable to suggest they get 5-6mil given they couldn't find a sponsor for the past few season and had to cap in hand to BMO last few seasons. Plus the rumoured major drop in Vancouver causing a major financial issues with caps that they can't bring in a DP.

That Logo is old. That is TFC Logo from year 1, an alternate logo. Also inside the crest. Has been used before in their marketing, on the floor of the team's change room, on stickers, wallpaper, and more. Was even on a sweater last year.

100%. I bet its BMO again for sure. The success of MLS in Canada during the playoffs, the eye-opening ratings and TFC not being garbage has probably re-ignited their interest. Bill Manning's quote about this year being good for the team probably just meant an increase in sponsorship dollars. My guess.. BMO resigns as jersey sponsor in a multi-year deal.

Your mock up is exactly how I imagine the new jersey will look. It's not bad but the jerseys so far are all cookie cutter. (the outlier is the horrendous Whitecaps triangle shirt)

The game kit has not yet been officially released.
It is supposed to be the Onyx stripes (similar to last year, except ending at the shoulder) as well as trim on the sleeves and neckline.

My guess (very uneducated just based off of the other kits that have been announced) is it will be much like the Orlando/LAG/NYFC kits but in red.

^ RIGHT?! I don't know what the process has been over the last few years, but for a while I always got the impression the club would scramble to get a kit designed and approved just in time for the new season while most other teams in the league had theirs all sorted out months prior.
