I thought everyone was headed back to your place after the game.

What started out as three days of pre-match events was quickly pared back to two days worth once Toronto was the host site. And the agenda for those two days is a bit thin for an event of this type. There's still a lot to get buttoned down for Thursday's commencement.

You can sign-up for a TFC mastercard and receive a free fridge magnet before the game

There are always some activation/sponsor booths for TFC games so I am sure it won't be any different with MLS Cup.
Probably just more League Sponsors instead of TFC sponsors.

Thanks for everyone's input, I'm surprised MLS/MLSE hasn't done more running up to the game. I seem to remember a lot of public and supporter stuff happening prior to the last MLS cup in Toronto.. Live bands, supporters conference, pub nights. This year seems lame in comparison, I guess MLSE really has no experience with a final and are lost on how to handle it.

I think last time because it was a pre-determined city for the final MLSE had the whole season to prepare events, etc.

But I feel they could do better then what they have offered so far.

I was expecting a bunch of cringe-worthy MLS and MLSE sponsored events. I'm very glad that the focus seems to be on what's important: the game, and fucking winning it!

they knew months in advance that it was going to take place in Toronto in 2010 and events aren't that easy to organize...so I can understand the lack of stuff.

Who cares about sport fest events, they usually suck. Show up on Saturday for the march to the stadium, that is what matters most before the game.

That I am not sure. Last game the March started around just after 6pm, game was scheduled to start at 7pm. My guess for Saturday 8pm schedule time March will be somewhere between 6:30 and 7, and it was pretty crazy for those that weren't there. There has been some videos I saw on YouTube that give a good view of what it was like.

If you don't find out before Saturday I recommend just show up a good few hours before and head to one of the bars in Liberty village, (red patch boys or inebriatti hang outs would be best location) ask around, or you will simply just notice many people leaving all of a sudden, at that point just join in.

Actually it's East Liberty St. that will be closed, between Hanna and Snooker. I wonder what they'll do with the 63 Ossington bus during that time. That's how I was planning to get to the game. I doubt they're going to re-route the bus through the Metro parking lot. Nothing about it on the TTC website yet.

Pee in the ice machines on their floors. Remember the TFC trip's to Mexico and what they had to endure ? Seattle should get a little taste...........

And shame on the City, the league and the front office for zero events. Yeah, yeah, its nice that there will be a party in the Village - but where are the announcements ? where are the schedule of events ? where are the flippin' events ? And while the city failed for grey cup, at least they gave it a go. For this ?? Sweet Fuck All

It just tough to plan a lot of big events on short notice. In contrast the MLS Cup in 2010 was announced on March 30th of that year. Well there is a DeRo after-party at Muzik if that's your thing.
