Unfortunately, we don't know the locations of the other two Sunday games yet as the two winners from tonight will host those games --- Assuming LA is the likely late game (Seattle is a possibility). Seattle/KC (two different time zones) and DC/Montreal (both eastern time zones), doesn't guarantee an afternoon start for us in my opinion ----- I think there is a much greater likelihood that we will be the 7:00pm "prime time" game as our matchup definitely has the most "stars" to sell to a viewing audience and I think Dallas vs Sea/KC will want to avoid going up against any portion of the Cowboys v Eagles game that night so that one might get the 5:00pm slot......just speculation obviously but even last year with Clbs v Montreal - the first leg was 7:00pm in Montreal and the DC v NYRB was 3:00 pm --- can't see how a similar breakdown wouldn't end up with us at 7:00pm.....

I'm really hoping for the 3:00pm slot actually, but I doubt that's coming our way.....

I found the entrance to the Food Building (where there are washrooms) to be pretty warm last night. You can stay in the bottom/lobby area w/o going up to the washrooms.

Just checked Ticketmaster Compared to this morning Tickets are moving very fast today. Not much left - even on the upper east stand. This should be close to a sellout. Stub hub has about 1000 tickets - so so overall not much left.

That game was the best game I have ever attended at BMO. South end was really loud, rarely anyone was leaving before the end of the game and the majority of the stadium was jumping and singing after Jozy's goal. Seba banging the drum with the fans doing the slow clap was amazing as well. Let's hope we have the same atmosphere on Sunday. I just re-watched our previous games against NYC and I cannot for the life of me figure out why we haven't picked them apart. I think we should stick with the 3-5-2 and try and drive against their backline as much as possible. They are foot slow and have a tendency to bleed goals. The combination of Moor , Zavs and Hagglund seems to be working so why re-invent the wheel. I say 3-1 to the good. I want a clean sheet but Villa only needs 1 tiny lapse to make you pay.

paddy power has us at 1.73 as of now (58% probability of a win)
just take 1/the decimal odds to get the implied probability) 1/1.73=0.58
bet $100 get back $73 plus your original $100
this is pretty good odds for us to win

I rewatched quite a few nycfc highlights and they are very much a beatable team.

They are weak defending set pieces and their defenders crumble under the high press. This is exactly how NYRB beat them every time including that 7-0 win.

Our key is to defend strong. Don't give any space to Villa to run onto free balls. Play as tight as possible to Pirlo and Lampard so they can't provide service. And continue to press hard like against Philly.

He can distribute the ball like nobody else in this league, given the room and space. TFC needs to play a very conservative formation, and try for counter attacks.

Great approach to the game. TFC put them under so much pressure before they got into our third of the pitch. Lots of fouls and free kicks but not too many chances for them to put dangerous balls into the box where Villa is so effective. We might as well play with just Bradley in midfield if he keeps playing like today. It looked like there were five of him out there. Hopefully Vanney goes for the early goal next week. That would force NYC to score four goals to stay alive, which is a lot more deflating than having to score two to force extra time. There's also no way in hell Villa should be playing next week (and Vieira will look awfully stupid for taking him off if he is suspended), but I wouldn't be at all surprised if the discipline committee doesn't even look at the incident.

Found it strange though how NYC started to press extra hard for a goal near the end and opened things up at the back. It was as if they forgot that the result wasn't as important as the scoreline. 0-0 would have been a good result going back home. And was an away goal worth risking a 2-0 deficit for? Or if it was imperative for them to score an away goal, why take off Villa? Not going to complain about that though

Ricketts is a beast but a large part of his advantage is his speed coming on against tired legs. I think he's best as a super sub and he's been sublime so far.

that was a game for the ages. there have been a few and i have been lucky enough to be there in person for some of them, but that one might have been the best yet. As good as toronto was playing in that second half and for all the pressure they piled on, i didn't know if they had it in them to take the game... but when Jozy hit the back of the net.... what a great moment. And then Ricketts adding to the score. What a boss player he has turned out to be.

I don't have much to add other than i thought NYC played dirty. the constant fouling must have been frustrating to play through. That was a tough game to officiate. I thought the ref did a pretty good job for the most part. There was a debatable penalty on Jozy when he was brought down on the cross... but i also thought Cooper was making too much out of the whole Villa incident and matchup. Yeah NYC were quite the douchey team tonight. They deserve to be down two.
