Any information on tickets or travel plans for this game? I'm assuming this will be one of the bigger away days of the year.

Thanks for the information. Are the new procedures due to the trouble last year?

Yes it is after the junk some idiots pulled at the final game of the regular season at Saputo. If you notice they want to basically associate each ticket with a specific individual and they are doing this by handing out the tickets an hour before kickoff. It is really unfortunate that some decided to mess up the process for everyone else but that's life.

I for one will be going to the game but have already bought tickets behind the TFC bench with a buddy who is bringing his dad.

It was floating around. I think somone asked the Impact for the info and got send that document.

I emailed Impact FO asking for away tickets. They provided me with that document and an excel sheet.

I would recomend anyone who wants to buy a ticket in the away supporters section 112 and does not want to jump through the hoops the SoccerDon and Impact FO is asking people to order directly off their website, you can print the ticket off the moment you buy it rather than having to lineup an hour before game time to show your id and handed your tickets. There are lots of tickets in the lower half of 112 available.

You first select the Grey, then the number of tickets you want and then you can pick your seats.

In reality it does:

1. You don't have to give every piece of personal info you have.
2. You don't need to lineup an hour before the game at a location home supporters know about
3. While we may have always been able to stand and do the regular supporting thing at the bottom that "privilege" doesn't come with the ticket.

Pretty sure it means they will hand then out 60 min before the game. Will likely stop handing them our with 30 or 45 min til game.

After the bullshit that occurred during our playoff game in Montreal in October, I'm definitely avoiding this game. I bought my tickets for that game through Ticketmaster (was only able to buy lower 112) and not through any supporter's group - the look security gave when they saw wayyy more TFC supporters than what was on their list was priceless.

Get two singles at the bottom of 112. They are available to general public. When you choose which seats to browse on their website go for the grey ones. 112 will be listed there. Then you can just walk up to all TFC supporters at the top of 112.

This sounds like the Playoff game in Montreal all over again....they didn't release tickets to TFC fans until something like 24 hours before the game in MONTREAL, in which many people wanted to be part of the first TFC playoff game ever after 9 years. What happened....bunch of TFC fans purchased lower seats in 112 that was available for general public, then other TFC fans purchased tickets in the Toronto section in Upper 112, that was released a day before the game. Anyways turned out you could stand where ever you wanted in section 112 as it was mostlly empty except the maybe 150-200 TFC fans (capacity might of been more like 500, rest of the stadium every section was full but 112, they only realesed tickets to TFC fans in upper 112, 24 hours before the dam game) atmosphere was great, we lost bad, Montreal fans tried to fight us after the game, we got blamed for it...overall typical Montreal away game, but it was fun as shit all together!!!

haha, be in 112 at Saputo Stadium with TFC away fans its like being at home in section 112 (funny we got the same section), its a great atmosphere, there is security around you and its more like being in Europe on away day but on a smaller scale maybe. The trouble, if any, is always after or before the game outside the stadium, in general its more banter abuse then anything, a few little punch ups have occurred. Inside the stadium its a blast tho being with all the traveling TFC fans and singing and laughing.suggestion is either buy tickets in the Upper 112 section with all that bull shit or purchase tickets else where and hope to sneak in 112 with the march of TFC away fans???? they might just let you in for wearing all red knowing if they move you else where as it may cause more problems wearing red surrounded by blue, or they might just put him with TFC away fans (happened in Montreal before with a friend of mine) ...or play it safe and buy in upper 112.

it wont be a big travelling away day is my guess. But its Montreal, we often seem to some how pull off 100-200-300 fsns traveling away to Montreal even during the week match or last minute or Canada Championship Match (we have done them all, lol) . I woudln't be surprised if we get 100-200 away fans. Bigger then that might surprise me only because a lot of people are stocked on this new Home Opener with new renovations at BMO field, for many its almost like the season hasn't fully got in swing till we get more home games in!!!

That all said you might get more TFC fans deciding closer to the date to go to Monteal away...its a common thing with Montreal away games doing last minute decisions, the whole security thing tho may be a set back for some who decide to skip it.

With the way lower 112 and 113 sold out quickly i would imagine many purchased outside the actual supporters section due to the impacts new ticketing policies. I would imagine we have a nice large red corner of the stadium.

Pregame: McLeans and Peel pub starting as early as people want
Leave pub 215-230
Be at Saputo 255 (those needing to pick up tickets have to do so at 3 anyway)

^seam like a decent plan?

Strength in numbers when going to and leaving the stadium.

What does where you sit have to do with getting jumped outside the stadium? If anything just being you and one or two more is a much easier target for impact fans that want to start shit than being with the general mass of TFC supporters.

I hope this isn't the case, but you are probably right. There are tickets available on the impact website though and they aren't that expensive. Just get tickets on that website in any section and join us in the away section. I still think we will easily have 300 Toronto fans at this game making it a safe and enjoyable trip!

Quoted for posterity. I don't believe Jeremie. I hope I'm wrong and that many Reds are there to see the match but they did their best to make purchasing as awkward as possible. Weak.
Yeah, they definitely did. Maybe because it's a whole new procedure they've kind of dropped the ball, or maybe they over-extended their allocation and wanted to weed people out?

Or they could be purposely making it as difficult as possible to get tickets in an effort to lower the number that would travel.

I agree. I highly doubt Jermain was delaying the process on his own accord, likely just the messanger on this matter. But yes the Impact FO I feel after last year decided that in their mind the section less full and thus empty seats was better than the alternative.

Couldn't they just limit allocation off the hop then?

You're right, that's what I thought too. At this point it's a gamble to wait for them. If anyone's trying to get tickets, might as well get it from their website.

I should add that I doubt this is Jeremie's idea, it has to be the MLS or the Impact FO.

Yeah guys I've met Jeremie and he's a nice enough guy who in the past has done an excellent job for us but regardless who's ultimate decision it was to provide lacklustre service to the away support he is our interaction point. He's got my praise in the past (truly), he gets the blame this time.

Trying to grab a pair of tickets for the game this weekend (April 23) in Montreal. I have checked the Impact website and they do not show tickets available. The odd single ticket but in the higher priced sections. Nothing for 112 or anywhere in the vicinity. Called the Impact ticket off but was an exercise in futility. Left and message there also but no return phone call. Any help would be great appreciated.

Would someone please tell me where I could be able to purchase a pair of tickets to this match?

Thank you in advance,

Also it is pretty scarce on StubHub, being that only 49 tickets are listed starting at $60US.

I was there for the playoff loss and I noticed walking to the stadium from the subway there are a lot of blind spots where people could in theory wait to cause trouble with away fans especially in the evening when it is dark out.... I applaud the Impact for this as when we left the stadium after that humiliating loss, I had a 6 Impact fans try and start something with my brother and I and if it wasn't for the police it would have gotten ugly.

OK Road Warriors! We're almost there.

The away supporter docs are pretty standard other than the willcall ticket thing and the extra provisions with the bus etc.
But maybe try to travel a bit lighter than usual on match day to avoid extra hassles.

See you at McLean's. Be proactive and get a metro ticket at any of the stations so we're not all lined up at machines when we head out.

A heads up on this idea that everyone squeezes into 112 - they are forming a wall of security around the upper part of 112 to contain the 200 supporters that went through their hoops of being identified. According to Montreal reps on the conference call yesterday, if you bought your tickets outside of those 200 seats then you will have to be in your assigned seat as the entire stadium is sold out. They also have fired the old security company and now have a new security detail that wont be as lenient.

The buses are for the people at the top of 112 but if spots are available others may be able to hop on. The majority of people who are outside upper 112 will be doing the walk back to Viau metro station.

How is it smart to have Toronto fans sit in their designated seats if they bought outside the away section? I'm not going to sit in a section full on Montreal fans cheering for Toronto, me and my friends would feel completely unsafe and surely fights are going to break out.

It was a great time, even though I did not sit in the supoorters section due to my friend bringing his elderly dad, you could hear the chants and such from the top of 112. Even with the new MLS security measures in place they seemed to be pretty understanding at least from my perspective entering the gates. The bag rule seems to have some discression. While the issue of getting supoorter tickets was dragged out, I will give the Impact FO credit with the way it was setup on game day and just having things like the buses in place to avoid some of the issues of the past.

Amazing experience overall, this was my second trip away (first being last Oct in MTL as well) and it was fantastic to say the last. Perfect weather, perfect atmosphere and of course getting the W made it that much sweeter.

Supporters were in full force and in sync from McLeans/Peel marching to the subway and to Saputo. Despite MTL FO dragging their feet on issuing supporters tickets and some minor inconveniences, they did their best with ticket distribution. And yeah, at least the busses were there this time rather than letting the supporters go into the forest in the dark like last October.

Day was awesome! Zero problems from what we could see. We didn't know where we were going coming off the subway and entered the stadium at the home end in our TFC colours and had no problems at all. Got back on the subway after the game(maybe 20 mins after the end) and had no problems.
Most of them left after we went up 2-0 anyway! "THIS IS YOUR HOUSE"
