First streamed game. Hopefully Youtubed for those of us at work.

Both teams will have everybody, yes including Drogba.
Players talked before they went down to Florida that they want to win every game. I won't care about the result if we lose or draw, but if we win :scarf:

Sooooo.....this game is tomorrow.

From what I can see, this game will be youtubed by the Tampa Bay rowdies.

I would say the over under on Seba and Drogba scoring would be 2.5.

No Altidore today because of hamstring tightness...again...

Sigh. I thought he might be past this with all the hard work he's put in over the offseason.

Its just maintenance to keep things good, as he will have a busy month of MLS games and World Cup qualifying.

Just a meaningless pre-season friendly. Might watch a bit of it, but the result doesn't matter.

OgtheDim
02-24-2016, 12:15 PM
The result means nothing. I'm more interested in watching people like Babouli and Endoh play, and the defence. And as the game will be on Youtube, I can watch it at my leisure.

But, it seems Vanney is putting more emphasis on the weekend game then this one.

Bradley is playing deep and we're being pretty measured in the build up... maybe trying to be even more possession-oriented now.

Endoh can cross.

On the goal, Morrow pushed up too far. Bradley and Johnson were more or less level in midfield but Cheyrou was up pressuring the middle. Morrow stepped up on Venegas but was too late, and the ball played over let Shipp run at our back line freely. Can't be taking chances closing down when we're running a 3 man midfield.

Yup. Internet issues at the stadium.

Well Endoh looked really promising until the stream went down. Made some good runs to open up the defense and had some good foot work to open up space and whip in a nice cross. Talk about diamond in the rough if he continues to show well and becomes a consistent starter.

On the other hand, Perquis looked sloppy in possession with at least one really bad giveaway.

But it shows me Hagglund is being tested as a possible backup at RB if the other guys aren't available.

Nice curler from Babouli after a good long ball from Mannella sent him free down the left. Cut inside on his man and it was going into the far corner but Kronberg made a nice save.

Babouli has looked the best of all the young guys. Mannella has done well too.

But it shows me Hagglund is being tested as a possible backup at RB if the other guys aren't available.

Maybe, but that's a situation where we're 3 players deep now in finding a replacement RB... at that point you're probably shoehorning guys into positions anywhere on the field. Also Delgado was held out today and he has filled in at RB ahead of Hagglund already so I'd say Hagglund is probably a 4th string RB at this point.

Goals against Montreal feel great! I cannot wait for revenge every chance we get this year.

Good point, I forgot about Delgado.

Ugly goal, but very nice buildup.

Senior squads (from what we saw): fairly even, not too many chances either way, Montreal got their goal after we let Shipp go free between our midfield and defense (Morrow stepped up too aggressively).

Kids: TFC carried most of the play and had the only notable chances. Mannella and Babouli both looked good.

Baboulli looks like a keeper. He is creative and currently on the cheap. With cap considerations me thinks he is going to be with the big club when they break camp. Don't see all of Zavaleta, Hagglund, Morgan, Bloom or Williams all being here though. No way we can fit all of them under the cap.

He has been doing that since his early academy games. We just need the right guys to receive from him

Only watched the first half and the around the goal.

Q looked good in the first half - the lad can kick it a mile.

Moor talks a lot and moving stuff around which was good.

Johnson did a nice brain fart to give them free kick there, which they rolled into the wall like a 5 year old bowling.

Endoh - nice skill.

Results? Meh....

Zavaletta and Hagglund are interchangeable as are Bloom and Williams (to some degree). If you are righ, Blommand Hagglund are gone.

But: shouldn't t be a big salary or two? What if we sold Jozy to a warm climate, for example. Lots of cap relief and better on the hammy's.....

If anybody is going to be sold off, its going to be Hagglund.

Jozy's not going anywhere.

Not great timing. I understand the wishful thinking of a fit player instead but talk about "selling low"...
