Good Morning D.
Thanks again for our news today.
Unfortunately, it will be a long time before we can say (TFC) Match Day!

So wheres the scoop on what went down after the game. Why has there been no repercussions for impact fans doing "dangerous and illegal things" in the stands with flares and multiple smoke bombs. Why havent the impact been sanctioned for the fan violence after the game. If this was uefa they would have to play behind closed doors.

Sun has set on another season, but what a campaign. Thank you to the players who fought for the badge & all supporters behind them.

At BMO field we use flares and smoke bombs every game this year and that has been fine.

Sunday in Montreal 300 TFC fans travelled for the away game. Apperrently many smoke bombs, flares and even fire works were used, 2 seats burned ( so ive herd). The Thursday game another 150-200 fans traveled to Montreal again for the away game. We were not allowed flares, flags, banners, fireworks or anything.

Montreal did bring flares, smoke bombs and even fireworks on Thursday, and a few fights after the game.

Tonight ( Sunday Nov 1st) Montreal vs Columbus I noticed the original supporters end (they have support ends at both ends now) had no flags, banners or flares or smoke bombs tonight. Obvious they got the same treatment Toronto FC away fans got on Thursday.

Overall you do not want to play behind closed doors, to understand why teams like Lazio (just for example) might play behind closed doors after seeing flares on TV sometimes goes much deeper then just flares for the reason of being played behind closed doors. Some Europe clubs have very deep violent, racist, political and more exc reasons its not always just flares. It gets more deep and complicated sometimes, sometimes they say the club is banned for a game because of flares seen on TV but that is not always the main reason they really got banned. Also a couple fights in Montreal is still rather small, some places in Europe this is a every game experience and much worse on many occasions. Support gets better in MLS like Europe but Europe Ultra mentality will obviously somewhat follow. It becomes part of the game.

Clubs can use flares and smoke bombs in a good safe environment, the problem is tho fireworks were used by Montreal and Toronto fans, security and front office don't like that. And Toronto fans abused our flares and smoke bombs to a point of we went to far. That is why we both lost our privilliage of banners and flags, I think that is fare. Playing behind closed doors??? no that is going to far and why on earth would you want to encourage that when we also did the very same thing? just make sure we don't push the envelop to far, then maybe one day we will deserve a closed behind doors game. But I still think we very save to visit a soccer game overall. just maybe security need to learn a thing or to about away fan escorts.

fireworks, not flares

What I do know is every game in Toronto we make lots of smoke, smells a bit like gun powder and is usually red or white, does not shoot in the sky. The stadium uses fireworks when we score a goal or the game ends and starts with.

What I saw in Montreal on TV was TFC using lots of red smoke. I could here a few big bangs (Maybe firworks that shoot in the sky) and I did see pictures of what looked like fire flares on chairs after the game.

I was in Montreal on Thursday and they (Impact Ultras) used the same, plus fireworks you shoot in the sky and make a big bang. And no this was not fireworks by the stadium, this was shot out of the supporters section. Big difference, we do not use fireworks like that at all at BMO field but we both did in Montreal!
