Wow! I know it was a huge risk, and I'll admit I wasn't a huge fan of putting Giovinco in, but that does say a lot of Giovinco's character to play yesterday, flight today, land 3 hours prior to the game, suit up, and score the winning goal!

Someone should send Defoe a video of that.

You could see Giovinco warming up & was bouncing. He got the ball and no one in the world was going to stop him. What a great goal. He's walking into the same bar as Bautista tonight and looking each other in the eyes as leader. Amazing.

Fantastic night at BMO! I almost never thought a night like that would happen!

Giovinco is world class - best goal I've seen "live" in a long time.

Cheyrou was a monster tonight - lead by example, ran the game, made up for Bradley being missing. Also shout out to Williams who was a real man tonight solid in D and calm at the back. But all over the field TFC players were excellent.

I also want to tell all you guys that have been here since day one that YOU all deserve a night like that - WE deserve it - and it feels good!

*Note - minor gripe, I was a little peed off that the players went over to the bottom of 114 to celebrate at the end - they should have come over to 112, cos you guys deserve that celebration. Let's just say that the players are saving that celebration for something bigger :)

What a night. Have to credit Vanney for the selections and formation - for example, Morgan has potential as a wide player but it took judgment and some nerve to put him in in this game - and have to credit everyone on the team for an extremely well played game. even without MB. And Seba! What a moment.

Nine years. Through Dichio, LA in the Dome, Cruz Azul, miracle in Montreal, lightning against Whitecaps, DeRo, Weeds versus Dallas in the rain, and other magic moments, but nothing like today! It's a bloody big deal, that's for bloody sure.

Been a season ticket holder since the beginning so it felt great being at BMO tonight the night they finally make it, it was amazing seeing the fans in the south stands party with the players after the game, also I loved the video that was shown after the game on the big screen showing a video of the seasons past and this season did get me a bit emotional can't lie. A great effort by the team tonight and the past few games and what can you say about that Giovinco goal has to be the best goal I have ever seen scored at a live pro soccer game for me. Moreover. Jackson are you kidding me best right back in the league it's not even close!

I know we've won some trophies, but this was the best night in TFC history. Easily.

When Giovinco scored that goal I lost. my. fucking. mind. That was the most incredible thing I have ever seen. Absolute insanity that he flies back from across the Atlantic, trots onto the field and does that. Pure magic.

Seeing the players celebrate after, the smiles on everyone's faces, it was perfect today. Hell, the mood was already high because of the Jays, then this happens. I'll never forget this day.

Guess I'll make a post about the actual game too, haha.

Vanney got everything right tonight. The 4-2-3-1 gave us better options in midfield vs. New York's high press. The back line is starting to come together now too.

Cheyrou & Warner were excellent. Osorio and Gomez were great. Jackson may have played the best MLS game of his career. He was fantastic, if he keeps that up our RB problems are long gone.

What an incredible night. And the first time we've ever won 4 in a row.

It was a poor clearance, but good old DeVos everything is always a result of what the defender didn't do rather than what the attacker actually did.

Yes this is the best day since beating LA in the CONCACaF. Made better by Giovinco and Jose Bautista. We are now in 2nd place in the east - beat Columbus and we are cruising. Gio warming up looked like he was bouncing - when he got the ball it looked like magic. In the net 2-0... nothing gonna stop the party after that. For me Jackson was immense - the defence has started to find themselves. This team has a chance now to go well into the p******s.

Credit to the Management and the Coaching staff for all there hard work, and Perseverance. After the Defoe debacle at this time last year I thought it was going to be doomsday all over again. But the FO stepped up and got us Giovinco :) and Altidore (Who I think they paid a bit too Much for ) but that is history, Keeping faith with the young Canadians Like Osorio, and Morgan (MY comeback player of the year) Giving Delgado playing time. Enduring a 6 game road trip at the beginning of the season and slowly getting better each game. Well Done the Future will be bright..

Although I was as ecstatic as anyone when the Jays won the series yesterday, it's a bit of a shame that this historic moment for TFC was totally overshadowed by it.

I also found that the Jays playing at the same time yesterday meant that BMO had mostly football fans and few fairweather/"sports fans", especially around 112/113/114 area. It actually made for a better atmosphere with those other fans watching the Jays instead.

I read the italian newspapers every morning and online comments and I am telling you, they are obsessed with Giovinco. Many hack him for playing in "America" or "a second class league" but many love him and are happy that he has hit form, making a crap load of money and re-found his spot on the national team. He has sort of taken everyone by storm here and there. It is awesome

Anyone else having trouble communicating today due to lack of voice? lol Starting to think it might never come back. Last night was arguably the best night of my life. Still having trouble processing it. Playoffs baby!

Getting lost in the all of admiration for Seba's goal (which is fully deserved) is the intelligent run that Osorio made to pull a defender with him giving Seba a clear path to goal.

I'm quite impressed with the maturation process of Osorio he is now a complete footballer and it blows my mind he doesn't even get called out to CMNT....

Really proud of Jackson. Hard work turned his game around 100%

How was Morgan. Saw him celebrating like a little kid out there after the miracle goal

I thought Morgan played pretty well. You could see his defensive tendencies, which was actually useful to slow NYRB from tearing down like that wing like they often do. He got forward often enough, but made sure to get back quickly & not leave that side & Morrow too exposed. Morgan still doesn't cross as well as used to for a little while (a few years ago), not sure what happened there. But he was good on short passing sequences, and his speed was a huge help.

You could sometimes see Morgan & Morrow get a bit tangled in their positioning & passing. That's natural considering they've both mostly been FBs, so maybe they have some of the same tendencies. Would get better with a bit more time & experience together.

Wow, I can't believe they actually won. My son told me not to watch the game with him, because he didn't want TFC to lose. So I went and got some groceries and came back to find they won. I'm torn between wanting to watch games and not jinx the club. I'm so buzzed from yesterday's games that I still can't sleep. Every time I see the bat flip and Seba's goal and I'm giggling like a schoolgirl. So this is what playoffs feels like?

Does anybody have footage of the south end doing the bounce towards the end of the game? That sh1t was unreal.

BTW, what was with the 6 minutes time added on? There was no serious injury or anything like that. Bizarre.

I thought the amount of time tacked on was excessive, compared to the minimal time added in the first half; the amount of delay in the 2nd half; and compared to many other games I've seen in MLS.

Armen posted some interesting tweets about that. He feels that TFC games consistently have a short amount of time added on when it could more likely help TFC; and lots of injury time when it's not in the favour.
