Hey guys,

Many people planning on hitting this game up? I fully anticipate us having a playoff spot sealed comfortably before this game, but just wondering if there's a group going.

My dad is working in Montreal, and the Raptors and Leafs are playing there on the Friday and Saturday respectively so we are planning on making a weekend of it.

Would just like to sit with other TFC fans, especially after the incident at BMO the past weekend.

Cheers.

112 is the away supporters section, talk to a ticket rep and they can ensure you're seated with other TFC supporters. as far as I'm aware, there's no "official" bus down there, mostly because people are organizing ways down there themselves with carpools and the like, although I'm sure if there's enough interest we might be able to scrounge something up.. but don't quote me on that.

I'm not too fussed about the travel. Just would be nice to be around fellow fans at the game. I'll drop a line to the Impact ticket guys. Cheers.

No that's just the way back. It's busy season for me so i can't take the Monday off, hoping to either get a ride or take the train down and then fly back.

Via on the saturday morning is $50 right now. So no hassle back and forth for less than $200

Even if it's all sealed and done by then, it would be a nice send-off for lads before the playoffs.

Montreal is not like Columbus, it's easy to get there by public transit.

Megabus $50 dollars return from Toronto
http://ca.megabus.com

ViaRail $100 return from Toronto
http://www.viarail.ca/

Porter Airlines $250 return from Toronto
https://www.flyporter.com/Flight/Tickets?culture=en-CA

All prices listed include taxes and fees.

For tickets to the match contact jeremie.lavoie@impactmontreal.com (514-328-5173). $21.75 each all-in

I don't think that there will be supporter's buses unless MLSE does something.

also, we might have some "extended season" games which people will motivate people to travel.

Just to add more info...
The supporters usually hit Mclean's pub before the match, here is a map...
https://www.google.ca/maps/place/McLean's+Pub/@45.4993167,-73.571599,17z/data=!4m7!1m4!3m3!1s0x4cc91a43cff9ea57:0x2919590c6 b5408fc!2sPeel+Pub!3b1!3m1!1s0x0000000000000000:0x d5ee3c354d412e40

Some supporters hit the Peel Pub a few doors down from McLean's.
There is a park across the street where most supporters meet then march to Peel Metro station.

If you are in Montreal for more than one day I suggest buying the unlimited weekend pass for $13.
It's good for unlimited transit from 6pm Friday until 5am Monday.
The nice thing about it is that it has a smart chip so all you have to do is tap the card at turnstiles and in buses.
It's the occasional card(paper), don't buy the Opus card(plastic) as there is an additional fee.

I generally use priceline or Hotwire for hotels. Ive always had good experience in montreal with the hotels I have gotten, just make sure you click on the right area you want to stay and understand their star ratings.

Right now on hotwire it's showing a 4 star hotel in downtown west (peel st area) for $90 a night for the saturday and sunday night.

Also should add that you are going to want to make sure you are seeing the price in Canadian dollars, it sometimes defaults to USD.

You just need to change the currency in the top right corner.

Away supporters. McLeans isn't the biggest so spill over to peel pub. The $10 pitchers are both great and awful.

I have to be in montreal on the weekend of the 31st for a reunion, and I'm probably going to this game, so I'm secretly hoping Montreal ends up fourth and we end up fifth so I can just spend the whole damn week there. Not impossible, just need Montreal to go on a streak and for Columbus to crash a little bit.

Edit: given the schedules of us, colombus and MTL, this doesn't look like a far off possibility at all. Gonna be a great fuckin week.

There really is nothing much near Stade Saputo.

Best area is downtown, area bounded by Sherbrooke in the north, Rene Levesque in the south, Guy in the west and St. Denis in the east.
Get a place in that area you can walk to anything, you just have to take the Metro(subway) to the stadium for a cost of $6 for a two fare ticket.

you won't regret it ....it's way more fun than Columbus , the stadium is fine , subway there is a good ride and takes you right to the stadium, finding food and drink places are half the fun .Read with threads for tips like getting a subway pass for the amount of days you're there etc. Remember be prepared for any weather ? Ok won't be in supporter section but scored 2 in section 124 (something about standing the whole time and smoke). Ok I can compromise. VIA tickets booked - Escape fare at $50 each way. Actually found a decent hotel under $200 per night for 2 nights. Maybe double header weekend. We will see .....a nice dinner out with my wife on Saturday evening may be better than the Habs game on our anniversary. Excited for this weekend all around. Yeah, they're still selling the TFC section to us but I'd call soon. On the bright side Jeremy (the away supporter ticket rep) also told me if i wanted more tickets to call him. So that means they still have them. Only a matter time before they stop blocking them off to TFC fans and start selling to their own. This match is really gaining some momentun. It will has the makings of being something really special. Tickets are flying off the shelves. Now in regards to section 112, the bottom of it which is now sold out was available for General Sale on ticketmaster while the upper part of it is held back for away support sale. I one year bought mine off ticketmaster in say the 2-3rd row and it did not take long before I was asked to move up into the away part of the section.

past ....it depends how 'protective' they are of us, .......for some security , they weren't used to soccer and were checking stubs but most have been very helpful and flexible about keeping us together . I assume there is no more everyone collect at a certain gate early until the security walks us in ., as in the past . I liked getting off at the farthest station avoiding the main supporters .

Get your tickets everyone, they're selling out. As the season comes to an end this game is getting more and more meaningful.

So i just had a look at the impacts remaining games: @NYRB, @COL, @NE, vs TFC... thats a tough schedule to close the season. They play 2 of the best teams in the conference, cross country travel and then a derby where anything can happen.

Meanwhile Orlando plays: vs NYCFC then @PHI.

I would expect orlando to get 4pts min and have a good shot at all 6pts.

Meanwhile if mtl can come out of the 3 road games with 3 or4 pts it probably a good trip. That could set up a scenario where we could knock them out of the p******s on the last day of the season.

Away supporters. McLeans isn't the biggest so spill over to peel pub. The $10 pitchers are both great and awful.

Back in the 80s, I once drank six pitchers there and then threw up foamy beer under the table. The hot girl I was impressing up to that point lost her enthusiasm, and I got tossed. Ended up drinking Zombies at Alexander's around the corner.

And Jesus H, they're still $10?!?!?! The big pitchers?!?!? (They might have actually been $6 back then, although it might have been $5 worth of water and $1 worth of beer).

Keep in mind this was the 80s, so it could be long closed, but the new one backed onto teh old one and (if still there) is about twice the size. Entrance just off the corner of de Maisonneuve and Peel. Very plain, though, just tables and pitchers and a lot of McGill and Concordia kids getting shitfaced for cheap. Had live bands in the eighties. Sons of the Desert used to play there often.

EDIT: The old one was decrepit thirty years ago. Remember getting pissed there at age 11, on a school break from Grade 7, because back then Montreal bars would let in anyone with a halfway decent fake ID. Bob Gainey almost pissed on me at the urinals by mistake.

If we win and CLB vs. DC tie = we get second
If we tie = we come 3rd or 4th
If we lose = we come 5th or 6th

Do the impact have a mandate on how early we have to be in the stadium as a group? I know Saputo and co. can get a little over the top about these sorts of things.

You got more than enough time as the stadium is just down the street from the 40, which goes straight to the airport. With some traffic today google map has it as a 32 minute drive.

I love how we always bring way more supporters than Montreal does despite us never being a good team. They played here 3 times this year and brought maybe 50 or 60 combined.

Seems like the weather will be cold and rainy during the game. So dress appropriately.

Also, given the shitty weather, I'm sure a lot of their casuals will leave or not even come to the game. Which will leave us vs their ultras!!! And we will win that battle!!!

going to be a freaking awesome game!!!

Have you tried their FO? You can purchase a ticket anywhere in the stadium and then just come to 112 there.

Jeanne-Mance St. between Sherbrooke St. and De Maisonneuve Blvd.
Bleury St. between Sherbrooke St. and Président-Kennedy St.
Ontario St. and Président-Kennedy St. between Clark St. and City Councillors street;

So would I (be willing to pitch for gas) . I've had two people bail on me for this game now so I have an extra ticket and no ride. If no one's offering I'll probably end up taking the bus both ways but I'd rather share the trip with some fellow fans. New experiences and what not.
