Floro has always liked Bekker of course but in this case, perhaps TFC lobbied for an exclusion in exchange for future considerations. Lots of midfield depth on this squad even with JDG injured.

Osorio came off as a bit petulant over his lack of minutes during the gold cup. Maybe Floro thinks he has an attitude problem.

How active is Doneil? Floro needs players that are ready to go.

Not saying Kyle is one of those but does he drag a player all the way home who has played perhaps one full match since recovering
from his season / loan ending hamstring injury last season?

Doneil has to get 100% fit and start playing regularly. I hope West Ham loans him to a Championship side as they did last year.

Yep over reactions galore. It takes time to regain a programme to a soild one. Floro has to completely redo the entire programe from the bottom down after the last debocle, it will take time but the future is really starting to look on the upside with Larin and Akindele and more players coming through academies.

Look at the Belize squad. Do you think they could beat the squad listed above?

The way I look at it, Floro took a look at the opposition and figured he didn't need his best players to defeat them. He's mostly chosen players that aren't getting a lot of playing minutes with their teams and I assume this will help keep them sharp. He's saving his favors for when he'll actually need them in the next round.

Now, if these decisions mean that Canada crashes out of qualifying, I don't think anything will save Floro's job.

Altidore needs to get his form back with his club, not leave for the USMNT. Klinsman really has no idea what he's doing. Calls up an unfit Altidore for the gold cup, then sends him home for not being fit, then calls him up again before he's regained his form...

What if consistently losing players to international duty messes with an MLS team's ability to develop/maintain chemistry?

What if losing players for critical games causes a team to miss playoffs?

That's a good point but, if the league wants these players, they should be factoring major tournaments into scheduling. And teams shouldn't have to beg players out of friendlies.

Every team has a number of by-weeks. Surely they could find a way of having all the by-weeks at the same time on FIFA dates. Apart from the WC and GC, there aren't that many fifa dates during the season. Our bigger problem is that the USMNT schedules games on non-FIFA dates and MLS teams are expected to let their US internationals go for those games

Yeah Gomez should have had minutes vs Orlando, not sure what vanney was thinking.

I haven't looked the numbers up, although I think Seba and Bradley played the most minutes out of any other reds player and they are probably both gassed.

If Seba gets the green light to play after the seattle game, that would be great, since he probably needs the rest.

Agreed.......unfortunately . As for Osorio what's wrong with a Canadian refusing to lose . He was ignored for 2 complete games then when it was basically all over , played . Jokes . Watch the Canadian men's basketball they want to win and refuse to lose . And the coach feeds off that . Oh ya he's Canadian :) . Ha I'm angry . I'd NEVER ruin a kids desire to win over MY ego . Simply suck it up , talk to him later and you know he'll admire you for it . It's about the players and their development not the $&@$ coach .

Considering West Ham have played Reece Oxford(defender) who is a 16 year old more times than Henry I'm curious about why this didn't happen either. The new manager probably wants more time to evaluate him, if he isn't playing by winter he will be loaned out.
