So i touched the camera..........and got kicked out!

So anyone in 112 may of seen at about the 88th minute i gave the camera a gentle tap because it was seriously maybe less then a foot away from my face, as it was for most of the match. And some camera man started pointing at me and telling police i punched the camera. I was then escorted out of the stadium and the police took down my ID information and address and all and told me to not come back to BMO field.

So currently i dont know if this means anything, but im exspecting a call or somethin from BMO field.

pre-game it was waving around, and I put my hand up, as I didn't want it to hit me in the head. And this prick worker said "don't touch it, or you will be ejected immediately". I was not impressed with his abrasiveness and was giving it to him all game. You put a camera in front of people's view, swinging all around, what do they expect will happen? Too bad whoever hit it didn't do any damage.

watching the game on CBC was difficult... i thought the camera operators and producers would understand how to present and capture football games by now.

soo many times they would point the camera to the booth..... let's get a look at steve nash and garver while a fuckin corner is about to happen.

well from in the stands, they put this big camera that was on a huge pole and it would go across the whole 112,111 section through out the game. It was constantly blocking are view and it was just really fucken annoying because it would stop at about the 7th,8th,9th row right next to the railling. It was like some one starring at you constently.

i told marc during half time about the camera being in our faces, he couldnt do much. hopefully he'll be able to get you back to bmo field cuz who the hell are the cops to tell you not to go back to bmo field because you touched a camera that was obstructing your view!!! they should give you compensation for that! ridiculous.

there was a BMO security guard with her. He was the guy who had my ID information, but he didnt say anythin really. The cop jsut said dont come back and i said whatever and just walked away. But ya im not really worried. I really didnt do anythin worth getting kicked out in the first place.



Funny thing was tho, last night was the first match i didnt get drunk at. Staying sobber just gets you into trouble. :D

As for respect, what do you want them to do? Put up a statue of us outside the stadium? TFC fans are treated a hundred times better than Leafs fans have been and ever will be, because the difference between the football and hockey mentality is that in football, it's recognized that the fans are the most important part of of any club. In hockey, they're treated like third class citizens.

Sure, BMO Field has to sort out the situation with over-zealous cops, but I can't help but think that a lot of the people who complain about them are doing things that are out of order. Other than that, I don't think the argument that Toronto FC fans aren't treated well holds any water.

Can't say I disagree. We have it a lot better than Leaf fans. Some of us might be a bit childish in our whining.

That being said...there have been instances where police have stepped over the line...and regardless of how well we are being treated, that is unacceptable.

Differentiating between a real issue and one where a fan is just being a pussy...that's the real issue.
