And why's that? He's shown so far in the games that he's played that he's just as capable as Bendik.

If you'll recall his play in previous games/seasons, we can round out the picture. He did block some shots against NE, but Bendik came out equally as strong and did so game after game after game in terms of shot stopping (when landing the starting role).

I won't judge him on this remark - but he looks lost, not in command, and surprised about walking away without having let in 5 goals.

Following this board since 2007 (posting since 2009) I've seen many here get on board with someone that shows up in their first game or two but really isn't all that great. It's just my opinion looking at a greater body of work that he's nothing more than a backup at MLS level, but more likely a starter in a weaker league.

Maybe I'm going out on a whim with my comments - but I did the same after watching Stefan Frei for a season. While most were saying he's a dead lock to be heading to Europe, I was saying he is actually the perfect model for an MLS keeper, and would be in MLS for many years to come - not Europe.

American Soccer Analysis consistently ranks Bendik as the worst starting keeper in terms of shot stopping in the league, and I'm right there with them. In addition, we all know his distribution is horrible. I would cut him in the off-season and go with Konopka for the rest of this one.
