TFCII will be returning to action Saturday evening at Rochester, the evening before the big home opener for the first team in the newly renovated BMO Field. The 1-3-1 Reds side will most likely see the return of a few faces who were with the first team this past Wednesday in Montreal for the opening leg of the VCup semi-final. The game can be seen live on youtube Saturday night at 7:05 PM https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYu7Y4gqqEc

With Q most likely staying up with the first team due to Bendik's injury @TorontoFCII have called up goalkeeper Brogan Engbers from the Kia @TFCAcademy to backup Alex Bono.

The Reds brain trust have taken the route of going with young developing players, so it is going to be a learning experience. Results are not always going to be the number one thing they are evaluated and judged on.

I wouldn't mind having a decent veteran journeyman USL player on the roster to help steady the players when things go south, like the last game. They need more experience to help the young ones along.

I agree, an example would be White Caps 2 having Tyler Roselund as their captain.

Well the whitecaps would be a bad comparison because there record is just as bad lol, so the TR vet experience is not really "proven" but I get the point.

Game is in a weather delay , lightning and all, hope it's not as long as the one the first team had a few weeks ago in Dallas.

Sigh.

Unlucky. TFC coulda won this one. Hamilton missed a 1 v 1 against the keeper .. and there was some other chance.

Overall a better defensive set up for TFC but it was IMO based on virtually no attack minded play. Less exiting of a game but probably the better way to set up while playing away games.

Another bone headed Red card again but I don't think it was a mistake that caused the goal, as Babouli is mostly up front. We just switched off after the 90 min mark.

Got to feel pissed for the boys as they were so close to getting a point off of an unbeaten team, "footy can be a cruel mistress and then she kicks u in the chops"
