In the early years of TFC for an ever so brief moment they contemplated putting a training pitch on a barge as per a Paul Beirne tweet today. Would have been interesting. He tweet was in response to another tweet that contained the photo below, pretty cool if you ask me.

Just found some more info, very interesting.

This soccer stadium is located at Marina Bay, Singapore and is in the waters of the Marina Reservoir. The Stadium was built as a temporary replacement for the National Stadium that was to be demolished. It was completed in 2007, and is to be used for soccer matches as well as for concerts and the the annual National Day Parade until 2011 when the Singapore Sports Hub at Kallang is completed.

The stadium seats 30,000 people, but a much larger audience can be accommodated on boats in the waters surrounding. The floating platform is made of steel and can support 1,070 tonnes, “equivalent to the total weight of 9,000 people, 200 tonnes of stage props and three 30-tonne military vehicles.” Below are two more pictures of the stadium, one taken during the construction and the other taken during the 2007 National Day Parade.

Wouldn't have worked… there is no room for expansion for the Argos

I'm sure there's a polo league somewhere that would've made the perfect groundshare...

Although it would've made a dive into the endpool MAGnificent!

And security would have an easy place to throw unruly fans, forcing them out with a swim.

This is still my all time favorite. Got to see it in person on my honeymoon. Talk about the best way to hone your technical skills as every bad pass would have you swimming. Maybe Bekker should spend his offseason here.

You mean Water Polo right?

With all them fancy new lounges at the ACC you don't want to be giving them any ideas.

I bet if they could make money at Badger farming, they would ground share with TFC:

One of my favorite unique soccer environments of all-time, all sorts of ideas come to mind to how you could handle the spectators at who misbehave at this pitch in Switzerland.
