Unfortunate, but I think there’s a big "silver lining" to players from the MLS landing contracts in Europe - namely that it’s a bonus in recruiting talent. The more the league is perceived as a stepping stone to European clubs the better.

More South American talent will feel more inclined to choose MLS as a career path launch pad to other parts of the world, namely Europe. Nice to know Europe takes MLS seriously when it comes to scouting. Toja was a good pickup for Dallas last year!
