Because MLSE knows all about running winning sports franchises....

If this would become reality, the day the deal will be signed will be the saddest day in the history of footy in the beautiful city of Parma!

Well they are already getting relegated, so good luck to MLSE in getting them back to the Serie A!

How amazing and sad would it be if the first sports team to win anything under MLSE ownership was in a foreign land and that soccer team would do better than TFC, haha yeah right, they might be in the 3rd division pretty soon.

MLSE probably already contacting local Rugby team in Parma to groundshare.

Joey's going to be so pissed if MLSE buys an Italian team and it gets promoted back up to Serie A before his lol.

Parma is currently dead last in Serie A, and so far back it's virtually impossible that they won't be playing in Serie B next season.

Bologna is currently 2nd in Serie B with 10 games to play... Good chance Joey will be the one having a laugh.

Parma may go the way of Fiorentina and have to start again at Serie D due to bankruptcy?

I don't think MLSE wants to get into that disaster. They owe a lot of money and will get relegated probably to lower div then Serie B. I feel bad for Parma. Had a great season last year, make Europa, but couldn't play in it because they didn't pay a few players and lost the spot Torino. Lots of history with Parma

I don't understand this, they can't get things right here so now they want to go to Europe?

If Parma is relegated, maybe TFC can get a few guys on loan for less than the players actual wages???

GK: Antonio Mirante, Roberto Stillo

DF: Mattia Cassani, Alessandro Lucarelli, Andrea Costa

MF: Jonathan Biabiany, McDonald Mariga

FW: Ishak Belfodil

Parma's debts are estimated at €96M, that's not a lot. But I can't even imagine the operating losses they would incur trying to climb the ladder back into Serie A. Money pit.

Meanwhile, the golden goose that pays for everything is coughing up blood.

Would they? Looking at the table, they've already been docked 3 points for going into administration, so would there be further sanctions at the end of the season?

The situation of Parma is so complicated that we can't be sure at 100% but it's unlikely for them to start in Serie D. They should be relegated and restart next season in Serie B with a new holder (quite impossible to avoid the relegation, they're 15 points behind).

Isn't the owner refusing to sell despite the mayor urging him to let go of the team?

The new owner is a total joke: he bought Parma for 1€ in January and didn't pay the debts. He could have sold the club but he wanted €5 millions (without having done anything for the club). He's also implicated with dirty money cases, it seems that he's now in jail. Again, Parma is totally a mess, poor Parma fans...
