View Full Version : Suicidal betting on TFC (just MLS matches), all season long!

Being a degenerate bettor, I'm going to bet using a Labby line (= "Labouchere" progression) always on TFC to win on the AH (= "Asian Handicap") line.
This is going to be suicidal probably, but meh..., I already kissed good bye in my mind my $1,000 (US). g:D

So I'm going to bet at Pinnacle Sports (the world's best bookie IMO), and my starting bankroll is $1,000.
I am going to use this Labby line: /50/50/50/ .
I start to win the sum of the 2 outside terms, if the bet is a winner, I will continue with the remaining /50/; if it's a loser I will add the lost amount at the end of the line, and then bet again to win the sum of the 2 outside terms, and so on...

I'll be using the European odds format.
A good odds-converter can be seen here: http://oddsconverter.co.uk/.

Wish me luck guys! :drum:

Bet 1 (Step 1)

Vancouver Whitecaps - Toronto FC
Date: March 8, 6 PM EST

Wager: $91
Toronto FC +0.25 2.11

(the opening odds on March 2 were 2.06)

---------------
(2.11 = +111, in American odds.)

Good luck dude.

I haven't gambled on sports in a few years but I only ever used Pinnacle, it is good for sure.

Wow... the odds jumped to 2.19 now. That's a huge difference.
I should've waited more, but of course you never know, it can go both ways.

So what did you make off of that bet?

while I don't really understand what you said in your op, I get that TFC will have to have a high win % for you to make any $... kudos to you for making such a positive bet... not sure I'd have the sones to risk a $1k on that so  to you...

on a side note, your opening line struck me as a fun game of fill in the blanks...

"Being a degenerate ________, I'm going to ______ using _______ (= ____________ ) always on _________ to _________ on the ________ (= __________ )."

WINNER!

Profit = $101.01
My bankroll stands now at $1,101.01 .

Now the next game I'll need to bet just to win $50, and if TFC will do good again, my first Labby line will be cleared with a profit of at least $150.
Then for the 3rd match I'll open a new /50/50/50/ Labby line.

This is a total mystery to me.

A +0.25 "asian handicap" means that I have a winning bet if TFC will have at least a draw.
At draw my profit would've been 1.11/2 x (my wager) = $50.50
With a TFC win my profit is 1.11 x (my wager) = $101.01

I don't need to have a high win %, but just 33.33%, because of the Labby line I'm using.
And those "win"-s won't need to be all TFC match winners, but just winners on the Asian handicap line. That's a big difference!

Yeah... I still don't understand any of this. What does "a 0.25 asian handicap actually MEAN? You've described what it leads to.
