What a joke, does nothing to help build support , hopefully there is a push to get some of this relaxed. Yankee Stadium sounds like it going to be one fun place for NYCFC fans to watch the games.

Sounds like a proper football stadium. I'll wait till they find a real home for the club before I make a visit.

Great way to kick off the supporter culture in the largest market in MLS.

In case people didn't already hear this - the whole thing was a prank by a douchebag in LA. Unfortunately nearly everyone on Twitter uncritically assumed this was the real deal, including several journalists who should have known better.

As is often true, the most successful hoaxes are the ones people want to be true. NYCFC has some brand issues, unclear if they give a fuck about it.

Did NYCFC admit this was a prank after getting bombarded with happy phone calls LOL, I saw this shared on the DTOT page.

We should call them "FC Yankees" this season.

The prankster posted several times on twitter that is was him but not as many people share that as the original posts. NYCFC and Third Rail just ignored it as far as I can tell.

Sounds like a violation of Poe's Law. It's such a believable set of policies that nobody can really be blamed for buying any of it.

Well of all people a heavy hitter like Grant Wahl was one who tweeted it, that would get it noticed and make it very credible early on.
