Ya they were probably laughing about the beers being thrown.

I couldnt help but chuckle when he held up the streamer though. Theyre stupid as shit and im glad someone rubbed it in their/our face. The streamers are complete bush league.

it's because the fuckers were taunting us and the ref walked up to them and pointed them back to their end.

personally... I was expecting to see a yellow card, which was why I was smiling.

shit like that would start a riot in other parts of the world, and players would get huge fines for doing it.

in the land of the blind...

you cant expect every damn call to go tfc's way. he usually lets the game run its course and is in fact a bit tfc biased. i like him.

it was more a comment on the state of refereeing in the MLS than him personally

I think we've been exaggerating that a bit too much. I've watched countless EPL games over the past decade or so. In those games, I've also seen some douche bags go over to the oppositions section to celebrate. Never have I seen a riot being started or even a beer cup thrown at the player. Probably the reaction would be more violent in other countries but atleast in England that is not the case, thats for sure.

This alone is something that should be brought up with MLS... that should have been a yellow in my books/!!! It was almost to the point that I was going to deck the guy... but I'm sure I would have been tackled two steps in...

The striker did get a yellow for the celebration.

He almost had it turn to red later for kicking the ball away on a free kick but the ref held back.

wow, my bad. I swear Petrescu held one up after the celebration. The douche was all tied up.

Oh well.
