I reckon we're signing Samaras, Ronaldo, and James Rodriguez.

They probably put those flags randomly. I don't think it means anything in terms of signing future players or anything like that.

I thought they generally coordinated them with the nationalities of the players? Last time I was there they had Scottish, Ghanaian and Nigerian ones up for example.

(not that I'm actually suggesting we're about to sign a Greek, Portuguese and Colombian player)

Hmmm, like notthesun said, I too thought it was coordinated to the nationalities of our starting XI. Perhaps they gave it up and now it is just a random selection of flags.

I think, as Cash has said, it may have started out as a representation of our players, only to wind up being some sort of hybrid, to reflect/appeal to the demographic of (potential) support for the club.

Thanks, makes sense. Seemed odd to me, definitely see how they would try to strengthen appeal in communities etc

The real question is why there isnt a Polish flag! And if there is one I dont recall seeing it.

Maybe it's because Olympiakos played a game at BMO in the summer.

Tiny Tim said before the game that moving forward it was all going to be about stats and analytics, so maybe he crunched some numbers and discovered that teams that fly Finnish, Colombian and Portuguese flags at their stadiums beat their opponents 63.24% of the time. Unfortunately, not being experienced in football in the real world, he accidentally hung a Greek flag instead of a Finnish one.

Hey now, I'm quite proud of that Greek flag being up. :D
