NEW YORK – Jurgen Klinsmann’s future as U.S. coach was called into question Wednesday when Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber criticized him for not taking Landon Donovan to the World Cup and for saying Clint Dempsey and Michael Bradley damaged their careers by returning to MLS from European clubs.

It's war between the Commish and Klinsmann!

Garber's blast of Klinsmann is actually epic. Everybody needs to read what he said. He totally lost his cookies.

Klinsmann comes off as an idiot to me and who I think is getting out of touch with reality. First he changes Bradley's position a few weeks before the WC expecting him to play like a natural there, and then doesn't even let Landon get a sniff.

As the US coach he needs help grow and develop the game in the US. Germany is the perfect example of how they used their own league to create their national team program, that's what he needs to be doing, helping the league do that.

Quoted with some changes (IN BOLD) from the Miller interview:
"Such is life at Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, where chronic dysfunction resides alongside rampant uncertainty. Leiweke is on the way out. Defoe may or may not be back. But for all TFC’s repeating mistakes, and for all his misgivings,I find myself in a place Toronto sports fans know well. This Red Patch Boy has been around long enough to know he’s quite possibly entangled in the sporting equivalent of an abusive relationship. He knows the object of his affection may hurt him yet again, may never sufficiently repay his emotional investment — heck, he has counted himself a Maple Leafs fan since he arrived in Toronto in the early 1970s. But as much as he has conscientiously and convincingly threatened to leave the fold, he acknowledges he’s under a spell far stronger than smart arguments." - That about sums me up!
