The team will be called....T2


I listened to the press conference, and there is a lot of positive things they will be doing. What stood out to me was that they will use this team to sign young internationals to nurture them to be first team homegrown players.

This is one of the things I have been advocating that the MLS needs to start doing. Poaching young CONCACAF youth talent.

^I don't think you can poach young players under 18. It runs contrary to FIFA laws, unless the kid has citizenship/residency right, or parents moved for non footballing reasons.

I just wish these teams stuck with the II, 2 or B.

These owners are creating new brands, and from a marketing p.o.v. this can only create confusion in establishing the first team as the credible sports brand in their respective state/provs and cities

IMO one of reasons why LA has been so good this season is their ability to use 'Los Dos' to give their fringe players as well as players coming back from injury quality mins in USL to gain match fitness and keep them sharp, also experience.

TFC really needs own USL team or we are going to fall behind again.

So they say, but at this point I don't believe them. As we have seen this year, talk is cheap and we are jaded.

even if this TFC USL team happens, it won't be in time for 2015 and by then, we're going to be behind those teams with USL teams.

I suspect TFC FO is too busy with damage control to even think of TFC USL team.
