Anyone who thinks our defence isn't all that good should watch that Chicago NYRB game.

Caps beat the Crew. Folks online raving about how good Laba was.

I heard the game on satellite radio driving from london, he seemed to be all over the field. Hope we get him back somehow.

I chuckled watching the Vancouver-Columbus game when the commentators quipped that it was a great "Road Result" for Vancouver.

As they said it, the cameras panned the crowd, or should I say empty seats. This could have been the Disney Classic.

I get Vancouver was out of their routine and only had a week to get used to the time zones

That said, the ingrained "road result" culture really has no business in the MLS of parity and family day out like atmosphere. Good teams win on the road as frequently as they do at home. Don't aim for mediocrity as you just might hit it.

.... Good teams win on the road as frequently as they do at home. ...

Wow there was some atrocious refereeing in that game.

Was Nyarko's goal the goal of the year?

There is far more to it than the crowd. I will defer to Alex Ferguson's expertise here - where he has said the different dimensions of the fields plays a massive role

Not in this league though.

Here is an example (just one mind you but an example nonetheless):

2013 SKC
Home (9-5-3) - 30 Points
Away (8-5-4) - 28 Points

SKC seems to be the exception ..

With all the bizarro results and happenings this week, I'm glad TFC didn't play. We probably would have lost 2-1 on two own goals.

With Columbus and Houston losing at least it wasn't a worst case scenario in terms of TFC's ability to make the playoffs. I know it's early but we're already 5 points back and about to lose starters to WC duty. We need to keep pace with the fourth and fifth place teams. At least with NYRB losing they aren't riding any sort of high, but seeing how they almost came back they won't be coming in low either.

I don't look much at the point difference right now. We've only played 7 most teams above us have played 3-4 more games then us. That's too much of a gap to really know where we stand right now. The way our schedule works out July is going to be a very important month. Lots of games and lots of points we have to take.

They were all nice goals but I think Hurtado showed the most skill.
