MLS hype machine in overdrive about TFC.

I really liked seeing inside the locker room at half time in the Elite TFC article on MLSsoccer. It's good to see that RN knew that Seattle was going to push back hard and mentally prepared his guys for it. But the hype on that site is making me uncomfortable and nervous. I keep expecting murphy to come and bite us in the butt. But maybe all the negative karma TFC has accumulated in the past 7 years is being balanced in this one glourious season.

Now, if they beat RSL on their home turf, then the TFC hype might be warranted.

Pittsburgh Riverhounds file for Bankruptcy Protection.

Considering the money they've thrown around already, this might be an opportunity for TFC to get an up-and-coming team with a new stadium to use as their farm team. You could buy the whole works for less than Defoe and Bradley's annual salaries.

TFC are better off having their own farm team in GTA instead of Pittsburgh where there's better chance to survive. I believe TFC working with Toronto Lynx to turn them into TFC farm team. Original plan was to move Lynx to Hamilton, but Hamilton shot down that idea.

This is why winning V-Cup this year is going to be important for the club. If we want to become a superclub, then we need to be successful outside league play as well and prove we can be the best club team in our region. You can't believe be superclub winning MLS cup and Supporter shield alone.

The Riverhounds are pulling in 3000+ per game, but they dug themselves too deep of a hole with their creditors. The team is viable.

I thought that the main problem with the Lynx idea is that the CSA wants to create their own D3 league. They won't want USL Pro franchises in Canada, otherwise, what's the point of the organization? Just fold it into the USSA and be done with it. With a team based in the US, TFC can use a loophole while the CSA tries to get its act together (though even with the reforms, I don't see much hope).

It's way cheaper and most likely better for players (going to assume good chunk of them will be Canadians coming from TFCA) to stay locally. If TFC academy is any indication, then I except TFC farm team playing in new 3rd division league in Ontario. TFC is always been pro-Canadian soccer and were only Canadian MLS team not to have their academy team play in US development league.

My biggest fear is we have a montreal start... and a montreal finish. Vancouver won it's first two game last season and didn't make the playoffs.
