Good Bye Reggie!

It is an interesting situation since the Reds are still in need of depth.

No offense to Reggie, but this was long overdue. His efforts in the red of TFC were appreciated though.

I can't believe they did it now instead in January. Tough break for Lambe, but I am sure he will sign with a team quickly somewhere in North America.

Too bad, I liked Lambe but he's obviously sub-par for our new set of ambitions. I hope he finds somewhere but I suspect he'll fall off the face of the earth like most of our cut players.

So... does this mean we'll see an offer made to Issey?

Yes, but they could get equivalent depth for about the same price or less without taking up an international spot on the roster.

Coach probably wanted to give the guy one more chance in pre-season to prove his worth. Guess he didn't improve much.

I hope this means they have something lined up... we now have 2 intl spots and hopefully some decent cap space

They must have someone lined up to replace him.

Very much hope this means someone is coming in, like now.

I don't get it. He was almost a domestic and then they cut him. I guess they needed the international slot now instead of later?

That's not really a good enough reason to hold on to a bench player who's increasingly being pushed down the depth chart.

Issey who? He may need the spot but not the international.

I vote yes btw.

Larson tweeted that Lambe was dropped so "senior squad" would be roster compliant. No replacement.

At 60K he wasn't as poor as everyone says he is.
He was a depth player, but please name a few "depth" wingers who have a better ROI. (not to say his is great)

I gotta say, there's only been negative news since the signing of Julio, hopefully that tune will change.

Looks like Wiedeman turned out to be Mariner's only decent move.

This is the same guy who just said yesterday on Molinaro's podcast that TFC was going to be getting a player relatively soon?

The definition of compliant on this one might be compliant for the 15th, not today.

He scored a cracker against Chicago a couple of years ago. One of the best TFC goals ever.

The guy was definitely a depth player at most. bring him in late to change the game up and hopefully open space for another player to work their magic. Unfortunately, we had no one with magic powers while Reggie was here.

Not sad to see him go. He never really panned out. 2 seasons in the MLS and not a hint of improvement to the level needed for this league.

He took up an valuable international slot. We can't afford to waste international slot on depth players.

I dunno. I assume he asked and that's what he was told. Personally I can't see how the cap can be that tight right now but we don't know the terms of the JC loan (how much TFC is picking up) either.

There were a couple moments when he was useful. But it seemed that he got progressively worse.

The first player to fall victim of Paul Mariner's over-hyping. He told us all to expect Plata-like speed and trickery, and when he showed neither, people started to not like him. And after not too long, the few flashes of quality that he showed disappeared too. But I'm not too sad to see him go.

Reggie wasn't a bad depth player on his salary, but it just doesn't make sense to have an international spot taken up by a pure depth player. If Reggie was a domestic, I'm sure he would probably still be with the club. Good luck to him, I'm sure he will get a new club pretty quickly somewhere.

The one player I just couldn't understand being on the roster. Finally, the front office woke up.

Sure but a massive part of Winter's failure was Mariner who only seemed to scout Bermudian players.

Wasn't Camilo applying for PR status in Canada? If gets PR status, doesn't that mean he's a domestic player?:canada:

He seemed like a good dude, well liked by his teammates.

They'll probably sign Lovitz now. The Issey ship seems to have sailed as he hasn't been in camp.

I thought Mariner orchestrated the trade for Hall when he was GM and Winter was Technical Director...And how could I forget the greatest finisher in the modern era!
