Only Crew supporters would be dumb enough to fight West Ham supporters....the Englsih are years ahead in that department. 30 WH vs 100 Crew hardly seems fair for the Crew.

Most of the blog posts that I've read by people who were there are saying that most of the West Ham supporters who started the trouble were Americans, not English.

RealG-TFC
07-20-2008, 09:24 PM
They're only making it worse for them.

1. Their FO is going to fuk them up again.
2. They'll scare away the fans that the club is oriented at, families.

I wonder what the chants were that set-off the festivities.

It wouldn't take much...it's a bunch of drunk working class Englishmen who have fought plenty of times before along with a bunch of American WH supporters who think that they're auditioning for Green Street Hooligans Part II in front of the real ICF. Saying "Hello" probably would have set them off, but chanting anything towards them would obviously kicked things off - the Crew are stupid for not realizing that.

What's unbelieveable is that the stadium security let 30 WH supporters walk into the Crew supporter's zone....how could they let that happen?

gardooney
07-20-2008, 09:29 PM
One of the articles said that they hoped security in Toronto for the all star game would be beefed up. I don't think they have to worry about that. Half of us are going to be supporting the hammers anyway.

A recap from HardhatMike from the Crew forum on BS..........

This was all these select guys' fault in the parking lot. They were drunk and went out the same gate as the WHU fans (mistake #1) and decided to run their mouths despite being outnumbered (mistake #2). They got exactly what they went looking for and it seems they got jumped by some WHU guys. After than we broken up, they were pissed off and thier buddies, yelling "where was hudson street?" Meanwhile, the more reasonable members of HSH were walking back to Rubys like they always do when they heard these idiots yelling their name. They went over to see what the situation was and one of the loud idiots decided to start a fight with Blake (hsh_b). The cops break up the fight and Blake starts to run away. The cops then fire a taser at Blake (hence my avatar and blurb), hitting his cinch sack on his back. Blake then runs away from the cops (who call in the chopper and everything) and is now in hiding at an "undisclosed location." Meanwhile, the idiot in the green shirt who instigated everything continues to jaw at the WHU fans in the parking lot and despite most of the Union guys pointing him out to the cops, nothing happens to him. He then tries to start stuff with Clem and Myself before walking away, still yapping like a little dog.

As for the altercation in the Nordecke at halftime. This is completely on CSC, as they were too busy throwing Crew fans out of the game to notice a group of 15-20 loud drunk guys in Claret and Blue walking right down the aisle between 141 and 142. The leader, a large tattooed fellow who had obviously drank too much, starts in on a couple of Crew fans about 10 rows down from the top of the section. That's right, sports fans, 10 ROWS. That's how far they got into the section they got before I saw 1 CSC person headed in that direction. Meanwhile, there are families with kids in the area, and upon seeing that, the surge of yellow and black to form a bit of a wall between these goons and the rest of the Crew fans began. The big inked fellow then throws his beer on a couple of us and the fray begins. It then spread to the top of the concourse, but I couldn't see much after it spilled out up there. Some may frown upon my next comment, but I can do nothing but applaud the members of the Nordecke that got involved in the stands and were defending each other, as again CSC was nowhere to be seen. As for what happened after, I can't comment.

Travel Advisory:
Toronto FC supporters traveling to Columbus, OH should be on the look for trigger happy cops. They are armed and dangerous. They will fire smoke bombs and tasers without warning. Also refrain from public urination at church grounds.

For some reason, I can't cut and paste the article that I'm reading, but it bascially says the same thing as what Bluenose posted above...in short:

Some Crew fans went out at half time and started mouthing off to the WH supporters. The Crew guys got beat up. Another Crew supporter yelled out that the WH supporters were pussies because they way out-numbered the guys who got beat up. This caused the small group of WH supporters to go to the Crew supporters section where the WH guys knew they'd be out-numbered and said "Still think we're pussies?" and a guy threw his beer and the others charged in.

Terrible security at the stadium, stupid behaviour by Crew fans....

I'd be very surprised if even a handful of the WHU people involved were actual hooligans. The english teams do get some fans coming across on these preseason tours, but not every WHU fan is a hooligan despite whatever reputation the club's supporters have.

Just a bunch of knobs who thought it would be funny to play Frodo for a day.

It's still funny that the KKKrew wannabe hoolies got their shit wrecked, whether it was legitimate (as legitimate as something so fucking childish as fighting over a football match can be, that is) hooligans or not.

Just another joke to add onto the ever-growing list that columbus is racking up.

They have like 20 people in their section and call themselves hooligans then start jawing at West Ham obviously they got their shit fucked up. Man if I was a West Ham fan I would be PISSED to have some Columbus fans taking a fake West Ham firm name, even if it is fake I would just be like "wow you guys are cocksuckers". But whatever, the Crew are absolute queers.

If West Ham American fans tried to come into the South end thinking they were all hard they would get their shit run. But I know they wouldn't be dumb enough to try that, they just saw about 20 crew fans and it was easy pickins

I wonder what the chants were that set-off the festivities.

I read that when some of the WHU supporters went into the Crew supporter section the chant of USA, USA, USA was started and that a number of Crew supporters formed a 'wall' to protect the kids and families in the section.
Right there is what I would call an act of intent on the part of the Crew fans.
What gets me is the Hudson St. Hooligans got their name from the movie Green St. Hooligans which is about a WHU 'firm'. You would think that they would welcome these guys into their section and also know the REPUTATION supporters of WHU have. Aparently not.
Looking at the photos on Flickr it's pretty clear to see that the Crew supporters were outnumbered (again) by the visiting team....this time from across the pond.
Would anyone mind if the Crew were moved to say...Montreal or Vancouver? Anyone?

This doesnt make any sense.

Whatever happened between one group in the parking lot, or near the exit. When 40 West Ham supporters walk into the wrong section, they're not looking for 'tea and crumpets' and I can tell you that right now.

If they know their shit, they stay in their area, or they are looking for a fight.

They were looking for a fight.

Lets stop this:

"They instigated a fight by forming a wall to protect the families and kids."

Err.....ok

And lets stop trying to lay blame on one side or the other, as usual one bunch of stupid twats on one side, atagonised a bunch of stupid twats on the other side, or vice versa, and security allowed it to escalate.

We're going to have to be very careful how we deal with this at the ASG. I'm not sure how many tickets West Ham has, but it's possible their fans may attempt another provocation like this. That could get quite ugly.

I think all this crap is way overblown. The All-Star game will go off without a hitch - there isn't enough passion from our side to result in any kind of conflict.

Wrong. The shit went down because of a bunch of wanna-be Columbus clowns who tried to use the image of the ICF as their own through Frodo's ever so popular movie. They were taught a lesson, whether or not they retained the information is another story.

My sources say there was a small group who had planned to show HSH how life really works, the rest were there to enjoy the trip.

Not so much. More like... a bunch of wankers decided to go and show another bunch of clueless wankers the reprecussions of stealing a wanking group name from a wanking movie about a bunch of wankers.:canada:

Not directly. They stole it from a movie starring 'Frodo' about West Ham's most famous firm, the ICF. The movie is called Green Street Hooligans. Their group is called the Hudson Street Hooligans.

Better yet make a sign that says "You're Forever Blowing Bubble!' and have a picture of Bubbles on it:

http://www.trailerparkboys.com/photo_view_big.php?photo=16

It will take them years to figure it out.

How about a pic of Bubbles actually getting blown? I'm sure he'd gladly pose for a greasy shot like that :)

Maybe a Columbus = Relocation banner?

Just want to point out that the movie wasn't actually about the ICF it's just that the director knew of West Ham's history so used them because it would seem more genuine (somehow).
Outside of people beating each other up there isn't much in the movie that relates to the ICF.
But I take the point that without the ICF history that movie probably doesn't get made with West Ham involved.

So... bit pedantic of me really. :D

A bunch of 'Irons' go into the Crew section...yeah, they're probably looking for a fight, but I also think that the way the Crew supporters handled the situation made it worse. I'm not saying that one group was more in the wrong than the other but I do think that this situation could have been TOTALLY avoided....but it could be that I'm just a bit more optimistic than others.

Though, Rise Of The Footsoldier is a much better movie about ICF anyway.

Rise of the footsoldier is an awesome movie but it's hardly about the ICF and more about crime and drug world in England.

those monkeys have been through 3-4 different names in last few years. Tho most hudson street hobbits probably weren't around few years ago since they didn't have driving licence to get to stadium.
