....the Ottawa Senators.

This just arrived in my inbox.
As the Ottawa Senators executive vice-president of ticketing and new resident of the
nation's capital, I would like to introduce myself and thank you all for the
warm welcome I am receiving as I settle into Ottawa. It is an honour to have
been selected by both Cyril Leeder and Eugene Melnyk to oversee the ticket
sales and service team for the Senators. Led by Chris Atack, our sales
department is made up of a passionate and customer focused team that is
dedicated to delivering a best in class experience to every season-seat owner
and member of the Sens Army.

I started my career with the Toronto Raptors in 1994, followed by a variety of management
positions with both the Raptors and the Toronto Maple Leafs, most recently as
vice-president of business operations for Major League Soccer's Toronto FC.
Even as a past Torontonian and a former rival of the Senators, I could never
deny the talent Ottawa teams possessed over the years. We have a wonderful
franchise and a world class venue, but the foundation of every great team
starts with its energetic and loyal fans, you, our season-seat owners.

I'm excited to meet all of you as I walk the concourse of Canadian Tire Centre this season.
I welcome all of your feedback and look forward to hearing from you directly.
Please feel free to drop me a line at 613-599-0219 to discuss how we can
improve your experience and the overall service provided to our most loyal
customers.
Thank you for your continued support of the Ottawa Senators and I look forward to seeing
you at a game soon and getting to know you over the coming months and years.

Sincerely,

Paul Beirne,

Executive vice-president of ticketing

PS - It's time to start thinking ahead to
renewals for 2014. Don't worry, it isn't until the new year! Keep
an eye out for our campaign starting early January.

Sucks to be Ottawa. Look forward to ticket bundling, price increases and regular disarray.

On a side note, can we ban his MLSinToronto account? Seems a bit misleading and you just no he's going to come back from another victory lap.

Not sure he will be able to get away with much. My spies tell me, as I am not at all a hockey fan, that the Senators are having a rough time selling tickets this year. They are not selling out liker they used to unless Toronto or Montreal are in town and the visiting teams supporters bulk up the crowd.

It doesn't help that the team is very inconsistent in play and is not getting a lot of television exposure.

I wish him good luck. He may need it with what looks like a tough task ahead.

Maybe if the stadium wasn't in Kanata...

Seeing as in 5 years of moving around I never went further then Hintonburg to the west, yeah, Kanata sucks.

Nope - the Sens are stand alone here in Ottawa. OSEG own the Redblacks, Fury and 67s, so they would be the only ransom pack opportunity.

As for Sens attendance - it is down substantially from last year - alot of games with 15-16k announced in the seats, but less than that in the building. Kinda like BMO field in recent years.

Probably because he comes across as a sleazy salesman who wants to be your friend.

^ Thank you, and he was on the forefront of the MLSE con-job for the first seven years, were all they had to sell to us, was the "atmosphere" created by US.
