Stating the obvious, but we're so weak up front we might as well settle for a 0-0 draw right now. Worst of it is that there are no strikers on the horizon either. Let's hope that Jorden Hamilton has a good WC and develops successfully at university. In the meantime, bless Iain Hume.

-Nelsen on lineup decision for tomorrow's game

Nelsen had a pointed message for those youngsters, as well as an emerging Greek chorus pressing for them to get more playing time given the fact that Toronto has been eliminated from playoff contention.“For all the younger guys, especially these days, it is a generation of instant gratification,” Nelsen said.” They ask for something and they get given it. In football it is sometimes best to put your head down while knowing that your time will come. It is about how your attitude is when you aren’t getting playing time. That’s when you can kind of fall by the wayside like so many thousands and millions of players have in the past.”

Lucas Cavallini is a forward that can help us up front, but he keeps turning down national call ups though. I guess he still trying to sort out his club career.

He's only 20-21 years old and currently plays for Uruguay top club.

There's a glimmer of hope there. Thx. I can well imagine that Cavallini wants and needs to impress his club team to have a chance at a career in football. And it's a long, long way from Uruguay to Europe or Canada and back. Thing is, that will never change. Like Hoillet and de Guzman, he will always be on the bubble, and his coaches will know it.

So, from the 17 year old age group, it all comes down to Hamilton who just might develop with TFC after university. I liked Caleb Clarke with the U-20s (I think it was), and wonder how it's working out for him at Augsburg?
