Interesting - Earnshaw says he is here on a six-month loan, but I thought he was only here until the end of June? Are loans retroactive to the beginning of the January transfer window?

That would be my guess from hearing that, but it's just a guess...

There are upsides to checking out players on loan, but the downside is that if they do really well, then they're either a) going to leave, or b) demand a MUCH higher salary.

I'd rather take my chances to see hoe they perform. Loan deals all the way.

Yup, it's the good and the bad scenario...

I will say this, if I guy like Earnshaw comes on loan, scores the lights out & wants DP money - I say give it!

At least that way we've seen what he can do after a 6-month loan, and we're not stuck with Mista 2.0...

I trust Payne to make the right call in each situation. There are advantages to both.

It's going to get tough when both o'dea and earnshaw go off to international duty. this is where it pays to have quality depth.

I'm developing a severe case of man crush... other than Johnny Carver, only other TFC manager that I'm actually proud to have in charge
