View Full Version : MLS Week 3

Week 2 results (home team first)

DC 1-0 RSL
-scrappy game and RSL defence fell asleep for one moment for Pajoy to score. Also, a lot of United supporters hate Carlos Ruiz, one of their own players. (and for a good reason!)

CHI 0-1 NE
-Something is wrong with Chicago, who looked to have turned a corner into an Eastern Conference contender. You know you suck when you give up a road win for New England.

VAN 2-1 CLB
-This ended up being the match of the week. Very exciting match. Federico Higuain is scary good.

POR 1-2 MTL
-Another good game and another win for Mtl (Mtl for potential winner of Cascadia Cup?). Portland games aren't boring... Ryan Johnson opens his account for Portland

COL 1-2 PHI
-Game that lacked flavour, but a good result for Philly that still looks disjointed.

CHV 3-1 FCD
-It was like watching couple of retarded paraphlegic kids fight each other, with hilariously poor defending by both sides.

SJ 2-1 NY
-Another late game heroics... scratch that. It was just Roy Miller costing NY points again. Sam Cronin looked good again.

We are tied for 2nd place in the East!

I see Seattle in last and, given the cult-like behavior of its supporters, I can't help but be happy.

See it's still all to play for in the CCL (although Houston will have it tough away in Torreon). Should be some good matches.

Chivas USA manager Chelis is awesome

Best quote: In a barrel of feces, you're grinding and grinding, you finally poke your head up to get the fresh air.

That Kobayashi strike...

Kobayashi's strike is one of the finest that I can recall since I've been watching MLS. Camara's and Jahn's were sweet too.

The quality of this league continues to improve every season.

TV schedule for this week. NBC is ramping up MLS coverage this Sat. Hoping for some good viewership numbers for them

Not sure where I'll be or what shape I'll be in by the time it kicks off, but I'd love to catch the Seattle-Portland game later on.
