“I would love to go back into the coaching side of things,” he reports from the Chicago area, where he and his family moved after his departure from TFC. “I’m waiting for another opportunity. I’ve been on the outside a couple of years and to be really honest, I really don’t know what happened.

“Obviously, I was let go from Toronto – for whatever reason, I’m not sure (http://www.mlssoccer.com/news/article/toronto-players-allude-rift-preki) – but the decision was made. But I was always proud of the job I’d done at Chivas and Toronto. I thought the commitment was always there and hopefully people around the league, or around the world, respect that.”

He remains one of only two head coaches in TFC history not to leave the post with a losing record.

Still clueless I see. Maybe a good fitness motivator but has no clue about tactics or systems.

You sort of answered your own question. He felt he did a good job in Toronto... nobody else does. Funny that he clings to his "not a losing record" since he didn't have a winning record either. We should be asking what happened to Chris Cummins since he actually won one more game than he lost.

We should be asking what happened to Chris Cummins since he actually won one more game than he lost. He's at Reading - as Development Coach. Working with players coming out of their academy. Which by all reports he was very good at in Toronto. http://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/article/cummins-profile-243012.aspx

I'm sure he's quite happy to be home.

Preki, had 7-Wins, 7-Ties, and 10-Losses with TFC. They sugar coat the actual wins and losses by the TFC head coaches on Wikipedia. They grouped all games in CCL and MLS to make it seem like some of the previous Head Coaches were better than they were. Pathetic.

If he wants a job in MLS they will look at his record in MLS. His Chivas record was good, but who really knows how bad his attitude is if he cant even land a job in NASL. Could be that his tactics are pretty much 4-4-2 and nothing else if something is not infront of him he might not be able to get the job done. Poor tactics, Poor attitude, and no connections.

I liked Preki as a manager. I don't agree with people who say he was weak tactically. I think he actually got a lot out of a weak roster.

But the personnel decisions were horrible, some of them smelled to high heaven (Mista).

Preki was best known for making the players run.... and run.... and run.... and run.
Hence why we conceded less in the last 15 of every game... players were more match fit, which I've heard was lacking under Winter.

10 men behind the ball is a real system. Not an elegant system, not an entertaining system, and in MLS 2.0 not a winning system. In his prime at Chivas, though, he could grind out results.

it was a pretty negative system. timing was also a big part of it....Mo had worn out the good will TFC generated at the beginning of the franchise.

His decision to dump Robinson and Cronin are among the WORST in TFC's short history....Preki HATED strong characters in the dressing room for some reason...I guess he was SO INSECURE he saw them as a threat...
