Kofi Opare and Drew Beckie: They both have US Green cards so that works in their favour but what about their Canadian ties? I know Beckie was in the U-23 team but I never heard of Opare until the draft. Where is he leaning towards?

Yeah but we were handicapped by MLS for a while. They had us on that Canadian quota thing for too long and even worse than that, they gave us Mo to run the franchise. No team has had to deal with a crippling effect like the latter. Plus they had a decent USL foundation to build off. We just had Mo and his 'knowledge'.

Fair points, Ultra, but still a bit silly for him to say we're an expansion team. Watching Danny Dichio on Sportsnet World just now saying that Bekker trained with Crystal Palace a while back and Holloway said they would've signed him if they had the budget, so I guess that's a bit promising. I'm looking to see him get some minutes so we can judge him in the harsh, competitive light of day.
