Turns out he converted to forward last year and scored thirteen goals for Indy 11, so they just re-signed him.

Actually, it looks more like 5 goals in 14 appearances this year (2019/2020).

If you look at the TFC roster (http://tfc.ussoccerda.com/sam/teams/index.php?team=12105880) Russell-Rowe had 16 goals in 9 appearances, Marshall-Rutty had 4 goals in 6 appearances (and he is 3 years younger), Nelson had 5 goals in 5 appearances, and Carlini had 4 in 9 appearances. Not sure if they all play the same/similar positions, but it appears as if TFC have some goal scoring talent. Possibly moved to NYCFC to get out from behind that. Hope it works out for him

The Atletico family. Atletico are the owners of the Ottawa CPL team. Mista played for Atletico Madrid for many years.

Can't say a bad word about him. He's always been a pro, his players loved him, he (and their coaches) did a great job with their biggest legit prospect. Tactically he's very old school English and defensive, and I'm not sure how that fits into the modern game.

This is a different CSL than the rogue league. It's completely sanctioned by the Ontario Soccer Association.

The youth CSL is called the Central Soccer League and runs up to U18. www.cslsoccer.com (http://www.cslsoccer.com) I played in this league when I was in youth soccer. It's the competitive rep youth league for the GTA region (from Toronto in the west to about Peterborough in the east up to about Muskoka in the north). There are leagues for different regions in Ontario (SRSL - south, ERSL - east, WRSL-west).


Completely different from the Canadian Soccer League.

We've had a few guys over the years who didn't meet their potential because it just wasn't recognized. Sam Cronin was such a good passer; my lord. That guy could drop a ball on a dime from sixty yards, but everyone used him as a DM instead of a number eight or in the hole. Just wasted. Ended out shortening his career, too.

I am still very intrigued to see what his next job will be? I think we can all say that we were all shocked beyond belief when he got the gig at Man U, who say that coming. I honestly thought he would end up with a college head coaching gig, maybe a MLS assistant gig under the right cirumstances ie a buddy getting a head gig. Having ready the articles that the players are simply not impressed with him, not surprised at all but at the end of the day he will have one of the biggest clubs in the world on his resume and some clubs will be impressed by it, thus will give him a gig.

Nottingham Forest has two solid wingbacks on either side, especially Spence on the right. I can't see him dislodging either as a starter. Not making the bench is a bit a worrisome though. Spence is gone for greener pastures after this season. If Richie can work hard and hang in there next season is when he'll get a good shot.

On Soteldo (only here because i am talking about him but could also be the team moving forward) Says as much about how poorly constructed the team was last year, we collectively focus on the defensive end. It’s hard not to when you give up a goal in the first 15 minutes.

But, the offense was equally as bad, clearly injuries took a toll (which i blame on the Armas training regime until proven wrong). I still think Sotelo’s mindset was wrong for TFC, he was skilled but he really did not have anyone of high quality healthy or at least all healthy together for a period of time, got frustrated easily, took on too much, dribbled into crowded spaces with no outlet or someone in the box as a target to cross to (both assists on Sun, were exactly that) etc.. How many point blank misses did Dwyer, or Mullinho (sorry) botch. It became a cycle, bad offense with no pressure heaps massive pressure on a bad defense, opposition can press at will, hold a high line etc.

Soteldo will do fine with Ginac, Gonzalez, Thauvin, Quinones etc., he has targets and space, with a real coach maybe some personal discipline. It is easy to blame the player but I think it was a lot more. I am glad he is gone but TFC need a massive culture re-build and hopefully BB is the right guy. Maybe moving players that dont buy in no matter how how good, need to move on. I really like Lawrence and Auro but if they don’t fit then a subtraction is an addition.

So bring in the right players, re-build a team and winning is contagious.

I think it's going to be hard for him to get in this year because of the quality Nottingham Forest has at wingback. Especially on the right with Spence. Spence won't be there next year, as Jloome mentioned above. If Richie can hang in there and do the work he'll get his chance next year.

Obviously, in hindsight, you are right.
While apparently well regarded early-to-mid in his career, seems he peaked and then quickly cratered; before 30 and arriving to TFC?
Trading and treading on an earlier reputation which did not foreshadow his arrival.
Although... some fun facts...
Kantari is not that so far removed from the current Moroccan generation.
Had International Caps; perhaps not as many/important as some from the current squad.
Also, Kantari was at Nottingham Forest recently- Y20 as an assistant coach for a very brief time.
Oddly, Perquis was also at NF- Y16/17 as a player.

Sounds about right.
Perhaps participate in a few games next season if they do return to SerieA; to then have a retirement befitting.
They are currently 'in the race' for promotion to SerieA after suffering relegation this past season.

Even more irksome, some sort of comparison between the Bradley and Giovinco situations on another thread; which would be entertaining though. My simple ask is if Molinario's information/stats are correct? He suggests in the last three calendar? years... Y22, Y21, Y20... Giovinco has 'only' one goal. IIUC, in Y20 of the Y19/20 Season alone he played 19 matches for Al Hilal and netted 6 goals at least. In Y20 of the Y20/21 Season he seems to have netted only 1 goal; played in 22 matches. Don’t know where to put this, but Joe Cho’s mother died last week. We (Red Patch Boys) should do something, and people who have his contact info should offer him condolences. Shoeless was an incredibly important part of our history and it’s not the same without Joe.

Seems to be playing regularly now but came off in the 64'. They have him as a hybrid winger/central player in a freaky sort of 3-6-1 formation.

Been trying to follow him. Participated in some/most club friendlies? Eliteserien actually just started the other week. Made his league debut yesterday with Rosenborg; Match Day 2. Apparently performed well; made/with some luck. Molde is the league’s perennial performer though not currently performing/leading; IIUC, 0W-1L-1D?
