SSG: Sunday :yum: Monday:yum: ......one more and I'll have to make the SSG page my Home page.

Fletcher on TFC: "No one player is the answer". Nope. No one shit coach is the answer as well. Mariner will apparantly dump salary when he returns from his Europe(Rochdale....Spotland) trip. No point in getting to far ahead of yourself.

My guess is he was watching Bermudan Nahki Wells score two for Bradford in their win over Aldershot in League 2.

Sports conference running in Toronto this week.

MLSE boss on running sports teams: "It starts with good product and delivering on expectations and/or giving them hope. "

I know its funny, but hope is a major factor in what sports teams sell their fans.

That really is TFC's biggest issue right now. Its hard to have any hope with this management team in place.

Its also a big reason why the Blue Jays saw a spike in attendance this past season. They did a real good job in selling hope for the future.

Hope is the big thing. The Leafs make a few mIves each off season and it gives most people a little hope. Since the last lockout, though, now the cynics are taking over.

One of the things about MLS has been the relative parity between teams. A team can move from the basement to the playoffs in many years, or a team that makes the playoffs in the final weekend can make it to the cup (RSL a couple of years back). Just look at the division leaders failing to make it through this year.

It has been bad for us, but there is still some semblance of hope. A couple of years ago, people in this board screamed for Mariner to come here. The appointments of both Preki and Winter were relatively well received. And gave us hope. We're just in a bit more difficult a position right now.
