Interesting story, but thats sort of expected if you have a centralized national training centre. France, has made it work and they have 5-8 national training academies.

It will be interesting to see how the academy picture changes things over the next few years. Soccer is different from gridiron or basketball, and I can see the US moving more and more closer to what we see in Europe.
