I woke up to blood, snot and fire this morning. I hope she doesn't think she's getting breakfast in bed.

"Blood, snot and fire," I think a little penicillin should fix that up... or maybe the firing of the Coach and upper management.

Reds coach seeks 'blood, snot and fire' (http://www.torontosun.com/2012/10/05/reds-coach-seeks-blood-snot-and-fire)

“As far as I’m concerned we’ve got four important games left,” Mariner said of TFC’s October schedule.
100% delusional

“We’ve got millions of dollars on the sidelines which doesn’t please me that much,” Mariner said. “There’s nothing I can do about it.”
Yeah, there is nothing he can do about it.

“It’s just a question of not conceding the first one, that’s the problem,” Mariner said.“We’re going to set up hopefully to not do that. I just reiterated to the players today that it’s vitally important you don’t give up the first goal because the stats in MLS say that you very rarely win.”:picard:

TFC was leading against NYRB,Houston,NER,and so on.

For the players, truly a golden opportunity. "So you mean, all I have to do to get out of this shit show is to not try too hard for the last few games?" Well, that explains alot.

From the "blood & snot" article, “It’s just a question of not conceding the first one, that’s the problem.” Oh I see. Vs. NY we saw that "not conceding the first one" was really the only problem.

EDIT Oops, D beat me on that one...

it’s vitally important you don’t give up the first goal because the stats in MLS say that you very rarely win
Except if you concede the first goal to TFC. When that happens your chances of winning are almost as high as if you score the first goal. Mariner needs to realize that MLS stats and averages don't apply to TFC. If they did we would have made the playoffs several times by now. You can't always rely on averages to bail you out, sometimes you have to make things happen yourself through good strategy

What a clown I still find it hard to believe that MLSE is going to continue with this clown and the other genius Cochrane going into the 2013 season and expect people to renew their season tickets. The only way this organization stands a chance of getting at least 30% of their current season ticketers to renew is to bring in a new coach, general manager and a new president going into the 2013 season, because anything short of doing that will result in a very small percentage of people renewing and I'm sure they know this. Therefore, all this talk of this clown and the rest of them coming back is bullshit, I'm pretty sure if MLSE know what's good for them they will be making some major changes.

Yeah, there is nothing he can do about it.
I know, this is the excuse de jour lately.

Has nothing to do with him trading for an injury prone designated player or unloading useful pieces /sarcasm

Wow, San Jose beat the Rapids 4-1, in Colorado. Remember the excuses we always hear about the altitude?

Just watched the LA - RSL highlights. Different league from TFC. Hard to believe that DC, who has four more points than LA & only one less than RSL, played so poorly today.
